What actually is the show now?!

Warning: Spoilers
Constantine a character we have been with from the start got such an underwhelming death it was just like wtf that's it?!

And Villanelle is just not interesting anymore, same goes with Eve. I wish I didn't have to say that but it's true

Also that ending was bad. No need to end it on such a weak cliffhanger.

at the risk of disagreeing with fellow reviewers

Warning: Spoilers
This episode represents in many ways the extraordinary way the writers rehabilitated the series. It did run out of gas after s02 but then it became more about the extraordinary characters than the story. That is a hard trick to pull off but they did it. When Kim Bodnia's character is retired here, I realized how much I am going to miss his cheerfulness. Almost 2000 reviews here and I have never made that comment about any other character. Props to the writers.

In between, killing choices.

Warning: Spoilers
Defining by negative, this episode finally let Konstantin go, still making a beautiful corpse.

Showing closed paths, entering psychological realm with a grain of salt, many common places.

Daring to change with no expected outcome... The human nature.

Congratulations to Cast and Crew, bring more music, if you may.

Just...why?..

Such a shame...

Guys, seriously, ending the series with an empty plot, new characters (that are absolutely redundant), wasting precious time on unnecessary scenes... and most importantly, NOT GIVING proper backgorund about what happened after S03 and NOT EXPLORING the potential of the TWO MAIN CHARACTERS THAT GAVE THEIR BEST AND ARE THE CENTER OF THIS SHOW.. that makes me really sad. I guess Phoebe set some high standards.

Boring
gjw4 April 2022
This show was intriguing when it began, but it has been sputtering and running on fumes this last season. They should've wrapped this show up by the end of the second season, while they still had some sense of direction.

There are virtually no characters to sympathize with anymore. Most of them are bloodthirsty, psychopathic assassins, and while one such character is unique, when you fill the entire show with emotionless monsters, it just gets tedious. And the title character is increasingly bland, impassive, and rudderless.

Fortunately, there's only one episode left. But so they can send it off with a bang. But I'm not holding my breath.

Lazy and slow

Warning: Spoilers
Sadly, this is one of only a few Killing Eve episodes where I didn't feel the need to rewatch any of the scenes. My expectations were low after all the screeners reviews, but still can't believe they wasted penultimate episode on nothing. Also, this is not supposed to be L Word, but they keep kissing everyone but each other and it feels like cheap fan service. I'm a lesbian just like everyone else, mind you, but it's like writers have no idea what to do with their main characters so they keep adding new, insignificant ones. Total lack of creativity in this episode.

Also, sick and tired of all the 'foreshadowing'. You can call it foreshadowing if you do it randomly once or twice a season, but if you do it in every single episode it's called spoiling, dumbing down or lazy writing, you pick.

Also too many parallels with previous seasons and between characters, so it's no longer subtle, but again, lazy. It is like Laura just rewatched seasons 1 to 3 and decided to jumble in fables, Renaissance tragedies, myths, past seasons' memorable scenes. This show was always original and deserved more than copy/paste final season. There's no other way to describe it than lazy writing.

Bad

I don't know how or why Laura neal got the writing job for killing eve, but I hope she one day pulls herself away from her ego and realises she ruined one of the worlds best tv shows and queer characters, by forcing them to exist within binaries (which they clearly do not, they burn them to the ground) and also with her just overall terrible writing. If I was her I would have turned it down, because lord knows why she thought she could take on this project. The fact that she says the ending of the show makes sense/ felt right, shows how insanely homophobic and delusional she is. No one wanted that ended.

Making Dead Things Look Nice
Prismark1019 June 2022
The show is nearing end but it is clear that it could never muster enough momentum.

Helene is dead and it leaves a question mark over the other members of the Twelve.

Villanelle is on a small island off the coast of Scotland and meets Gunn. The assassin hired to kill her. Both women have a lot in common.

Meanwhile Eve is at a loss. Her mission is accomplished and in a karaoke song, she sings badly and sees people from her past, including her husband Niko.

It just shows how much Eve has been pulled apart.

Maybe this was an episode where Eve and Villanelle could had been reunited and hunt down the baddies.

It was too meandering and reflects that there was never enough of a core plot.

This is reflected in Konstantin's fate. Hung around in Margate for too long.

What?

Warning: Spoilers
Why in the world would the writers spoil such a great series. They kill off likable characters, introduce new ones we have absolutely no interest in. The story was lost after season 3, and the whole Oxanna meeting her family was just plain boring and didnt make sense. The jumping to new characters ruined the series ive no idea why unlessI new writers were brought in or the old ones just gave up, but sad to see such a great cast and storyline at the beginning be hacked to death. Personally I'd fire whoever wrote the last 2 seasons and make sure they didn't write again that's how mad I am at such a great start. I'm not sure I'll bother watching the last season.

[3.8] 600 characters!
cjonesas26 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Episode 7: A so so episode with the usual mumbo jumbo as is the standard in this final season. Everything is disjointed with characters and scenes magically put in locations and changing like rainbows of flesh and blood.

Too many new characters with too many unrealistic interactions and convenient events.

The needless woke is disjointed and erratic too.

The now 600 characters imperative is completely idiotic!
