There was no blue or green telephone sets in 1972 in France. The only one was black in Bakelite and, a bit later gray, in plastic. It couldn't be bought in a store and was the property of the state-governed telephone company. At that time it took three years to get a phone line and the cost was 3000 francs, that is today $ 2000.
The policemen drink coffee in a mug. People didn't use mugs in offices at that time in France but small cups.
A digital counter can be seen on a picture viewer. It didn't exist yet on that type of equipment in 1972.
