Vespa gang sucks
janmjedryszek9 February 2022
Everything brilliant apart from cyberpunk vespa gang. Please release a cut without them, they are cringeworthy and their dialogues are horrible. Worst thing to happen to Star Wars since jar jar Binks.

Hoping the 'Mods' would be destroyed, and Rodriguez would not return
paul_palmer10 February 2022
After two absolutely brilliant episodes, this felt like a bit of a let down finale . Having enjoyed all of the series except any scene involving the 'mods'... I find myself saying why... and I can only assume that it's due to the unimpressive direction of Robert Rodriguez.

Not impressed by Mr Rodriguez work 😐
larscwallin9 February 2022
It's strange that the most senior of the directors for both the Mandalorian and Boba Fett series is the one that delivers the most underwhelming action sequences.

This episode was truly all over the place. My least favourite episode of the series, apart from a few great scenes.

Devaluation of "The Mandalorian" Season 2 final?
Muromets9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Since the ultimate goal of Mando was to deliver Grogu to "his people" a.k.a. Jedi. And what now?

Did Luke allow a child to actually decide? What? THE CHILD. A kid. It is not up to him to decide something as crucial as this!

He, potentially, can become on of the most powerful force users that ever lived. Don't you think that to trully restart Jedi Order you are going to need someone like him?

Or was it done storywise only to keep the child alive, since we know the dark fate that awaits Luke and his students, thanks to the abysmal hellish vomit, also known as "Disney Star Wars Trilogy"?

In any case, the series final (it does NOT need season two) was tolerable. Unfortunately, cyberpunks on flying colored scooters survived the battle - oh, how i wished for them to be gloriously slaughtered by Cad Bane! - Boba finally has a chance to shine - and he does shine, in a way - lots of cgi, special effects in general and pew-pew. Story and dialogue wise... Well, lets not dwel on any of it.

Rancor was great, marshal is alive, spice must flow, but not on Tatooine. Thank you "Book of Boba Fett" for episodes 5 and 6, but the rest... the rest should have remained unwritten. Or, at least, written by someone else.

LOVED E7!
j_ryberg25 March 2022
E7 of "The Book of Boba Fett" had enough action for a full movie. I thought it was great; I don't know how they do that stuff, and I had a great time watching it. Yes, I'm 78 years old, and I've seen a lot of action-filled sci-fi movies. Bringing Mando into this series was obviously a very good idea. My best wishes to all those who had a part in this creation.

Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor
Prismark109 February 2022
There is no doubt that The Book of Boba Fett is a strange first series.

I was surprised that Chapter 7 turned out to be a finale. Usually these streaming shows tend to be 8 or 10 episodes.

It is like Disney loss faith in the concept of Boba Fett altogether. So after Chapter 4 it became a hybrid season 3 of The Mandalorian. It instantly became a much better series.

There is nothing unexpected here. It really is the template of how you tie up a Star Wars story.

Have your heroes in constant peril, the plan goes wrong, unexpected allies and then it all comes together. It was very well done.

There was a homage to Godzilla which itself morphed into King Kong.

Then there was the showdown between Boba Fett and Cad Bane. I guess The Mandalorian is Clint Eastwood.

So it's Charles Bronson v Lee Van Cleef. At least Boba Fett gets his own punch in the air heroic moment in his own series.

Great fun, but we all knew it'd be a race to the finish.
specialbobby9 February 2022
After a two episode detour this episode had way to much to do to be wholly satisfying, and it turns out it's clearly just a flashy set up to further stories.

That being said, some of it was seriously epic, some of it, well quite ropey looking. I'll never get onboard with those Mod Speeders and they look terrible cruising around town. Another turn up looked like an ode to great fantasy cinema of the 50s and 60s in places, and was that a nod to 2001?

The high point for me was Fennec's scene, the quietest in the film but showed a tone less silly and all the better for going forward.

In all this series was far from perfect, but it opened up so many opportunities going forward it can't not have its place in the Saga.

Like I said at the beginning, never a 10 out of 10 but it'll most certainly do.

Could be better
jorgezg-532579 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I liked it, it's what we all tought, but I think the direction isn't good enough, I liked the Boba episode on Mandalorian 2, but the Rodriguez episodes on boba are the worts on this serie, this are better than the rest (except 5 and 6) cause it's the finale, but I really think that another director could do a better job with the exact same plot, wich I liked, but the recording could be better I really liked Alita from Rodriguez and the action there is awesome, but I feel like he doesn't fit as well as other directors like Bryce or obviously Filoni on Star Wars Behind that, I think it's a good episode, my complainings are only about it could be better, but it's not bad.

Edit: Cad Bane battle deserved much better, and something nobody is saying, why is Bane always angry? He is serious but in the two episodes looks always totally angry hahaha.

Please keep Rodriguez away from Star Wars
david_royz9 February 2022
The worst 3 episodes of the series are all directed by Robert Rodriguez. They look cheap and nasty, like episodes of Power Rangers, with poor editing and particularly bad gunfire effects. They feel very un-Star Wars.

After the previous 2 outstanding episodes which had some great cameos, surprises and twists, the finale was flat and predictable.

Robert Rodriguez should direct shows for lil kids only
DanMihaimovienoncritic9 February 2022
The title says it all.

This episode was a huge missed opportunity.

The directing destroyed what could have been a great episode.

The action scenes and the story telling are childish and a lot more naive than the animated series Clone Wars and Rebels. The cartoons had a lot more mature content with drama and good story telling.

Hello Cad Bane, goodbye Cad Bane
yigitsert-409269 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
One of the most prolific villains in Star Wars got killed after 5 minutes of screen time...

Rather than giving the big battle droids that much screen time we shoulda seen Cad Bane hunting down Boba's army. Everyone had plot armour too, literally no sacrafices were made (Jabba's guards did yes, but that was predictable and we dont really sympathise with them since they dont speak).

It was nice to see an all out city war, but it was all just too predictable. If Mando & Bobba could take on storm & deathtroopers, the syndicate wouldnt really be a threat. The droids were a threat, but knowing the plot armour on all the characters made it feel like they were gonna keep missing the shots; which they did lmao.

Fenec was good, but she deserved so much more screen time too...

Nevertheless, Looking forward to Mando S3, hopefully they keep Rodriguez & his cyberpunk bikers away from it !!

Full of action and exciting finale.
Rmdor9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This chapter wraps up another good addition to the Star Wars universe, The Book of Boba Fett.

Finally the protagonist returns with literally all the tricks he has, there is a lot of action, and really emotional and exciting moments.

I liked that the central conflict of the series was closed, because I didn't see it as relevant enough to extend it into another season, although there are still doubts that will surely be resolved in a future series or second season, these series really are the best thing that has happened to Star Wars since The Clone Wars, once again, thank you Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau.

The only thing I see as something negative is that the whole chapter is very predictable despite the twists it has, despite that I think it really manages to live up to expectations.

As a final point, I confirm that the little green Mandalorian stole this series, it is not a complaint.

Robert Rodriguez cannot direct
ohroonoko9 February 2022
This episode was predictable, anti-climactic, and flat. The action was a mess. The tension was forced. The plot was muddled. There weren't any surprises.

And top of it all, Robert Rodriguez cannot direct.

Keep Robert Rodríguez away from Star Wars.
cblinn10 February 2022
Not sure how Robert Rodríguez got this directing gig, but his episodes of Book of Boba are easily the worst and stupidest of the bunch. He has no idea how to direct actors and no idea how to shoot an action sequence, as evidenced by the ridiculous episode, "The Streets of Mos Espa", and the season finale here, is no exception.

While this episode is basically an hour long shootout between underdeveloped characters with unclear motives, there's no tension, no movement, no originality, no style, no cool shots, no anything. Nothing builds, and no one cares. The actors never emote being in danger delivering their lines as if they are at a dinner party, not like they're under attack by hostile forces. Every character gets their cookie-cutter spotlight scene and stupid things happen. Of course, Rodríguez has to put in a useless homage to a movie he likes with a King Kong call-back, same as he did with 70s cop shows and Jason and the Argonauts in his previous episodes, which were all self-serving garbage. These have no place in the Star Wars universe.

Bryce Dallas Howard gets it.

Dave Filoni gets it.

Robert Rodríguez does not.

While I'm sure he's a likable guy, please keep Robert Rodríguez away from Star Wars.

He can go direct Spy Kids 10, starring Danny Trejo.

3/10.

Rodriguez Needs to go
mfalx9 February 2022
The story was sound. The execution, direction, sound, visual FX, storyboarding and cinematography were second rate.

Feloni, you need to man up and tell them to sort it out.

I mean King Kong? What the actual...

Disgraceful.

Warning: Spoilers
WHAT an amazing way to end the show. Why is everyone hating on the last episode it was amazing we saw boba vs cad, The Rancor, Grogu it was great in my eyes.

Some people just have different opinions I guess. The only thing messy about this episode was the 2 Droids that took up quite a lot of the show. But apart from that it was such a good finale

A good, yet choppy episode
Dannyboi949 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The finale of the Book of Boba Fett was a pretty good episode, for the most part. It starts off very roughly, with choppy editing and very clunky action scenes that felt weird and very slow. A lot of the actors didn't sell me in the fact that they were in the middle of a heated firefight.

This episode, despite being a long one, felt very rushed. It's almost like they tried to rush to the ending.

It does pick up a bit when those huge droids came into the scene, and I enjoyed the cooperation between Din and Boba, and those epic Rancor scenes. I loved the way they filmed those scenes, which makes the clumsy combat earlier even more frustrating.

Grogu gets some cool scenes here and there, and we got a nice little heart warming scene with him and Din, but I thought it could have been done a little better.

But the best part of this episode has to be the showdown between Boba and Cad Bane. Now this scene may not be all that great to those who haven't seen the Clone Wars show, so they won't really understand the history these two have, and I liked seeing Boba go crazy on him, even though I thought the fight could have been a little better. It was sad to see Bane die, since I've enjoyed his character for years, but it is fitting he met his end at Boba's hand.

Overall chapter 7 was good, not great. Some nice scenes here and there, but the action just wasn't there. Robert is a good director, he has been some pretty good movies (and bad ones), so we know he can make some good stuff, but I feel like his episodes haven't been up to standard, especially when compared to those directed by others.

6/10 for this episode 9/10 for the season as a whole.

Excellent
rhomulas9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
What we have here, are whinging sooking children calling this series out as disappointing and average, but these reviews are quite simply flat and rubbish, this series provided everything setting up the future of Star Wars.

Excellent series, amazing direction, great story, episode is a 10 by a long margin, series is a 9 because Boba wasn't in 2 episodes.

Fett for a King ?
southdavid10 February 2022
Both exactly what I was expecting and oddly anticlimactical, is how I'd describe the finale of the first season of "The Book of Boba Fett".

Team Fett gather together at the site of the bombed-out bar and then spread out around Mos Espa looking for signs of the Pyke Syndicate. They fail though to see Cad Bane (Corey Burton) who approaches the bar to negotiate their surrender. Their refusal kick starts a battle between the two forces. Betrayed on numerous fronts, and hopelessly outgunned by battle droids, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) makes a desperate decision. Meanwhile, a lone X-Wing lands in Peli Motto's (Amy Sedaris) hanger.

It was apparent, from very early in the series, that the finale was going to be Boba Fett's stand against the overwhelming odds of the Pyke Syndicate. I want to start with some of the positives about the episode. It looked amazing; the scenes with the Rancor running amok looked great and the fight scenes were much better than they have been earlier in this run, even if the targeting on those battle droids definitely needs an upgrade.

My big problem is that I don't feel like there's any connection between Fett and the people of Mos Espa. It feels like the Pyke Syndicate should have taken over immediately after Jabba's death and been cruel overlords, only for Fett to act as liberator, effectively repeating what he did with the Tusken Raiders in the flashback story and inspiring an uprising. But that's not what actually happened, Mos Espa appeared to be doing reasonably well without Fett, only for him to come in, aggravate the situation, get several of them killed and incur lots of property damage, much of which was caused by the Rancor HE RELEASED, only for them to treat him like Don Corleone at the end of it anyway. Guys... he caused the problem he's then saved them from?!?

As a series, I didn't hate it... but I do feel it's been a lot less self-assured than "The Mandalorian" has been. Would I watch a second season? Of course I would, we've established a bunch of characters and I'd really want that Star Wars / Deadwood style show that I mentioned a couple of episodes back. However, I'd really like them to decide if there's a story worth telling, before going ahead with it.

Thank you
johan-241-84180511 February 2022
Star Wars is alive and well. This is just the second start.

Clearly, George Lucas is giving good advise. Retaing the core story and feel of his universe.

Favreu has the touch and understanding. Now the sky is the limit. Thank you all. This is entertainment and more...

A mess of spectacle and characters, but my 6 year old loved it
snoozejonc9 February 2022
Cad Bane and the Pyke Syndicate attack Mos Espa.

Generally I think it is a disappointing end to the show and mixes clichéd action sequences with uninspired scenes of dialogue. However, I cannot deny it contains plenty of entertainment for those who prioritise spectacle.

Although good, the previous two episodes deviated hugely from the Tatooine story, and it killed most of the momentum building up to this conflict. As a result I have very little investment in what happens to Boba or any of the characters here, outside of the Mandalorian and one other. I also think it suffers from too many characters being involved. I think it would have been better focusing on less individuals and improving the quality of their contributions.

I think several of the dialogue heavy opening expositions explain too much. Do we really need someone to tell us the entire plan upfront? Filmmakers should show it in a series of reveals as opposed to one big information dump. Speaking of reveals, the Tusken related dialogue should never have been included so early as it lessens the impact of the later conversation between Fett and Bane.

I think the visuals are a mixed bag. The cinematography, effects and art design, as ever, are brilliant, but the general flow of it I found to be a bit messy. There are contrivances galore to bring about certain confrontations between characters and allow characters to save others. One character randomly disappears for a period of time and conveniently appears for a 'cinematic' showdown. Lots of baddies shoot blasters but cannot hit a barn door with a banjo. It also uses one of my pet hates: slow motion strutting. There are a few sequences I like that involve tributes to classic movies, but I won't spoil plot by mentioning specifics.

Unfortunately many comments on IMDB seem to demonise one director based on speculation about creative decisions made during the production. For me the biggest problems are in the writing, particularly relating to the volume of characters, lack of focus and the development of Boba Fett. There is only so much a director can do with weak material.

Ending on a positive, my 6 year old daughter enjoyed every minute of it so I think it deserves an extra point for holding her for the duration. That is usually a sign of decent visual storytelling.

A beautiful ending and reunion!!..
hermosaandres9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I really wasn't expecting much from the finale because episode 6 was literally perfection compared to this episode and nothing will top that. But nonetheless I really enjoyed and teared up from the hug grogu gave mando!!..such a beautiful connection and the action was good not amazing but good enough to make a great finale!. Honestly if it wasn't for grogu showing up and helping mando this episode would be flat boring!!..but fortunately it wasn't. There were no cliff hangers from the ending off book of boba fett which is great because we will see the new adventures of mando and his baby on the Mandolorian season 3!!..

The music was okay could be better but this episode had emotions and edge on your seat when grogu was in the battlefield!. No Luke or asoka which is fine by me. But I really did enjoyed this episode and we got our happy ending with grogu and mando flying off together!!.such a beautiful moment.

Not better than episode 6 in terms of perfection and well put cinematography. But it was a great ending and bonding episode for mando and grogu which literally saved this episode!. The only thing worth watching honestly!!..

The problem of people complaining is because they don't realize the book of boba fett is not as big as the Mandolorian and you won't see a truly memorable episode because there is still a build up!. Episode 6 was perfection and that's as close as amazing you will get just that piece. Appreciate we had that and we still got asoka and Mandolorian show coming up.

Need a better action scene
ladyliliroche9 February 2022
It makes me wonder, same with Marvel, who is the target audience for this? Is it kids? Teen? 20s+ 30+ 40s??

As a whole, the episode and the season itself was alright. It did felt anti climatic and the ambushed / action scene felt ridiculous.

It felt low budget (although that probably isn't the case or they spent too much money on cgi) and stupid considering these people are seasoned fighters and should have come up with a better plan. Why were they grouping up? Why none of them flank the ambush from the side? And why no one was shooting at their legs!!??

The whole fighting scene was a let down and made the episode felt like a kid series.

There was some nice moments, but they should have come up with something better for the fighting scene (like talking while in open space with an active enemy shooting at you? Who does that?)

Amazing, Disney done it again!
tanguy-533359 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So... I am speechless...

from the first scene, we got cyberpunk gang told Boba to shut up about his stupid idea, great like we need more scenes to made Boba look stupid, "The Palace offers greater protection" yeah? Like when some Wookie can just easily get in and almost ki- hurting your back a bit by throwing you around?

Then the action starts and it's a disaster

Boba has almost no plan at all to protect the town, except one time when the plot reminds him at the right time to make Boba go get Rancor and ride him around destroying the city in the process intentionally(but it was cool right??????? The building goes Bawmmmm) other than that this episode he's almost useless and just get slaps around by everyone

I love when the series shows the vulnerability of the main character, like Daredevil, for example, but what they did with Boba is honestly pathetic, he can't do anything except shoot the minion and wait for the right time the plot wants to make him "cool", I get it, he's old and not good like he's used too, but there is definitely a better way to do this, and still make him badass.

And the action is terrible, there is not a single time I feel the stakes of the story or think any characters might die, but of course, it's Disney, Disney doesn't do anything but play safe, you think the cyberpunk girl gonna die? No, Disney just wants to make her a cool and badass character that doesn't get hurt at all, because then it's show her vulnerability and she wouldn't be as cool right? But Krrsantan can get shot like 50 times tho because he's a Wookie he'll be fine, and it's also funny that's the "GREAT" Krrsantan can get easily overwhelmed by like 5 guys and still use a gun when a bunch of them get close lol, but it's fit with the stupidity of him in episode 3.

The same goes for a lot of characters too, I don't remember Free Town people got to shoot like once, and we are supposed to feel the epicness and intensity of the action scenes?

There's a lot to nitpicks about the action scene, there's a misplace comedy scene, I don't even want to get to them all, The big droids, whatever name it is that The Pikes bring can't aim for life, even when people just running away with no cover at all, and it's so boring that the majority of the action scene is spend with them, they bring Cad Bane back just to make him lose in the most pathetic way possible and he's supposed to be like the best assassin in Star Wars universe?

Rancor scared of fire is funny but if it wouldn't for this scene we wouldn't get "cool" Baby Yoda uses force moment, right? And it's disappointing that we see the Mando and Grogu reunion in this mash together abomination of an episode

and after all of Boba incompetent, it's surreal that we got to see the town people respect him, The man that has no plan to protect the town at all in the almost entirely of the series, he's just sit and walk around, take helmet off and waiting for stuff to happened, and even if he has, it's usually failed miserably(like when the 3 houses or whatever betray him in this episode)

3/10 episode I don't care, called me a hater if you want, downvote if you dislike my review, but thanks for reading! And if you have fun with this episode, that's great, I envy you, I might sound nitpicking but trust me I do really want to have fun with this episode, I just can't.
