Better than the average college whodunit!
Chartreuse127 September 2021
Hannah, a college freshman, moves into the dorm room of a dead girl who was pushed out a window but by whom and why? You will just have to watch and find out. This movie has a little unexpected twist at the end. Recommended!

Typical Predictable Ending
tomfsloan28 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I wasn't going to write a review but the awful ending forced me into it. Mildly entertaining yet somewhat predictable. No majors shocks and surprises but it kept you guessing a little. Warning, lots of spoilers...

Now the ending, that's another story. It followed the famous "stupid climax ending" template which is something like this: Protagonist gets tied up. Unlike the other victims who were instantly killed, antagonist does not kill protagonist, but instead gives very long soliloquy about her motives. Protagonist's aid, in this case her mother, comes to help. Where were the cops who were just with her? Make sure you don't look around as you rescue your daughter. And the daughter, make sure you don't tell mom, "Look out, there's an antagonist behind you!" Make sure the knife sequence is really stupid. Make sure when hit over the head with a vase, it does very little harm. And especially make sure that for the two seconds she's down, you run away instead of knocking her out and tying her up.

And please, have the cops come in and shoot her. She's a multiple murderer for crying out loud.

Lifetime blah
SnoopyStyle26 March 2022
Hannah Marks is excited to start college. Everybody gets a video message on their phones showing a previous student being murdered. The girl was the last student living in Hannah's room. She and her roommate are left shaken. She finds the girl's journal in the room.

Everything screams lower budget. Even the font looks cheap. This is a Lifetime mystery movie. The location seems familiar. I think they make all their movies at that location. I don't recognize the actors but their acting is fine. It's a blah Lifetime mystery. They are churning them out like a sausage factory. I like sausages. I'm just not going crazy over them.

Typical professor and student bumpety bumping movie!
haroot_azarian12 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Typically a dumb freshman sl-t (Sarah Grey) is infatuated with her journalism carrot top professor, and has a fling with him. I mean they play tonsil hockey in their first so-called "work" meeting in professor's hhouse. The rest of the plot is a whodunit, but it becomes easy to guess who the antagonist is! The predator professor deserved his ending. Oh and the freshman lied when she said she made out with him only once to her mother. It was two nights in a row!

Whyyyyyyyy?????????

Warning: Spoilers
Review contains spoilers: The movie had promise early on, but so many things happened later. I don't understand...

Why did the main girl not get some serious red flags when she shows up to the professor's house and no one else is there? The professor then offers her, an underage freshman, alcohol. Red Flag.

Why did they not turn the journal in to the police?? Why did the main girl and her best friend discuss the journal with other people?? After speaking with the police (finally) why did she not immediately volunteer the journal?

Why did the main girl not pick up on the fact that both Amy (the girl who died) and Daisy (student union girl) both have Professor Hampton's class together the previous semester? Daisy, the girl who failed the previous semester...Obvious candidate for plagiarist!!! Ughhhhh.

Main girl is tied up...her mom and the police arrive...Why did they send the mom in instead of the trained police?!?!?!?! Seems like an easily avoidable scenario. Because the mom and daughter together nearly got themselves killed. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Then the police finally run in.

Ughhhhh. Some enjoyable moments, but a dumb main character making dumb choices. I've definitely seen worse, hence the 4-Star rating, but this one had me yelling at the tv for sure.
