Humans, in the middle of a blizzard
dfc-london1020 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I could see Echos of the series Humans here. Same with the Tom episode. A child is born and within minutes they age. It's an interesting concept.

I could also see echoes of The Shining, as she's stuck in the cabin, in the middle of a blizzard waiting to give birth. It's not as scary, but it is equally peculiar.

A spin on age and the future.
blanbrn3 June 2021
This episode of "Solos" from "Amazon Prime's" series called "Nera" involves a pregnant lady in the future who's ready to give birth by future medical treatments. And when her first son is born things rapidly change as the boy ages quick and time and the future move just to fast, as Nera thinks to the past and looks at this as a lost cause! Overall this episode is not the most clearest or entertaining still the message pertains to the future and age as time moves quick with a kid as a mother must love quick or time will be her worst enemy.

This story was better than the previous one. Not all kinds of swearing. Interesting premise.

Being a Black Man in America
bakerstreetdozen24 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The other reviewer doesn't seem to get the theme of this episode. There is a sci-fi element, to be sure, of a woman giving birth in the near-future and the baby aging rapidly. But the theme is how Black children, specifically Black boys and men, are viewed in America. They are seen innocent as babies and very early children, but are rapidly adultified and deemed as threats. This is shown through the phone call with the doctor, who informs Nera her son is dangerous. She believes this. Then the cops show up. He is now a young adult. She knows if she lets them in, he will be killed. She sees them through their eyes, and protects him. He is not dangerous. He is simply viewed this way by others.
