Loved this episode I think the seasons get better and better as they go on can't wait to see episode 3 to see what happens next this is the drama we need keep it up dynasty!!!

So much to dissect here! An amazing season opener with shocking, engaging and intriguing storyline's for everyone. Amanda is a scene stealer and the best decision this show has made in a long time. The dialogue and directing were all perfection. The characters feel so much more authentic and mature compared to their jokey, nonsensical versions we've gotten earlier. I'm disappointed there's no Dex, but fingers crossed he's around the corner after Alexis' trial. Even better than S4 and if the show can continue to elevate and honour the OG it may just reach the levels of the first season! This is what every Dynasty episode should be like...

Something just feels different this time around. Better. Everything was just perfect this episode. First off, the directing was fabulous. That's not something you would typically pay attention to on a CW show, but this guy directed 1x22! Michael Allowitz is the best director Dynasty has had and I really hope we have more episodes from him because they are always the best. (Anyway he could direct every episode haha?). Next, the writing. Boy was this episode just living and breathing Dynasty. The OG incorporations, nods, teases, references and foreshadowing were so incredible you can tell that the person who wrote this episode loves Dynasty. And that is so incredibly important for a show like this. Dynasty is an ensemble cast, and I'm happy to say characters are properly utilised here. Dominique, Amanda and Cristal particularly are above the rest which was a something I pray continues. I wish I could say Kirby and Culhane are interesting this time around, but they aren't. It's just impossible to write for a boring character. After Kirby ends up blackmailing the Carringtons she need to be benched for a while, a long while. There is simply no need for these two characters. Other than that. 10/10 episode. Dynasty is back baby!

Season 5 came faster than I had expected. The first episode did not disappoint. Love the drama. They're finally adding in more storylines to ALL characters. This is starting to look like a very positive season. Hoping it get renewed for Season 6 sooner rather than later. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season ends up.

An episode written by the best writer Fife and directed by the best director Allowitz is the best combo ever. We need more of this. Best season premiere in years!
