As Christmas tradition, Kevin Spacey provided a final installment in his crazed YouTube videos with personal thoughts that conclude with
Merry Christmas wishes (the previous entries were "Let Me Be Frank" and "KTWK", 2018 and 2019 editions respectively). This one from 2020, "1-800 XMAS" is different from
previous entries since this time Spacey isn't playing Frank Underwood from "House of Cards". Instead, he is just himself sending a positive message
about suicide prevention and mental issues awareness by displaying some hotline numbers. That's an interesting topic to deal with and specially
during holidays when some people are at their most vulnerable when it comes to depression and similar issues.
He doesn't act menacing neither display some weird dark quotes
- but the moment where he gets up from the bench holding his phone and moving the camera is quite spooky. Weird and eccentric as those videos can go
this is fine by me just like the others, quite harmless and slightly amusing to watch even though the majority of people find it all distasteful or
cringey, thinking about how come an Academy Award winner can go to some extremes of embarassment. Well, that's the best of what's available after the
man's downfall and we keep on waiting for his return in Franco Nero's next project. He is missed despite the controversy surrounding his name. 6/10.
