- Bulkhead must face off against the Constructicons and their new leader, Dirt Boss, when they decide to hold the city's oil supply hostage. Meanwhile, the other Autobots manage to capture Lugnut, but find hauling him away a more difficult task.—Anonymous
- Isaac Sumdac & Bulkhead worked to rebuild a Space Bridge in the top of Sumdac Tower, so that the Elite Guard could be warned about the traitor in their midst. As they struggled to piece the shattered equipment together, Sumdac was unnerved by the battered, crushed Headmaster unit that sat in the lab.
When they tried to use a forklift to place an Allspark fragment into the Space Bridge, the floor collapsed under Sumdac. Bulkhead was able to save Sumdac from the fall, but not the forklift, Allspark fragment or the Headmaster unit. The tower needed its structural integrity reinforced if the Space Bridge project was to continue. Bulkhead said he knew just who to ask for help, and left.
Meanwhile, the other Earth-bound Autobots were tracking down rogue Decepticons. Sumdac had disabled the Decepticon Signature Dampeners, allowing Decepticons on Earth to be tracked and hunted down. They encounter LugNut, who demanded to know where Megatron was. A short battle followed, which ended with LugNut Stasis Cuffed at the bottom of a crater of his own creation. The four Autobots struggled to get their massive captive out of the steep hole to no avail.
Elsewhere, Bulkhead tracked down the Constructicons, and convinced Mixmaster and Scrapper to help work on Sumdac tower, and possibly even switch sides. As the two Decepticons began, though, they discovered a small, new robot, calling itself Dirt Boss, where the forklift, Headmaster Unit and Allspark fragment had fallen. Dirt Boss immediately took control of the situation and declared himself in charge. When Scrapper questioned it, Dirt Boss fired a strange screw into him, and took control of his body. Dirtboss then made Scrapper beat himself into submission.
The diminutive Decepticon (complete with sigil), then outlined a plan to set up a protection racket in Detroit. He wanted to control all of the city's fuel and energy supplies, and the Constructicons were happy to join up. Bulkhead pretended to play along, even verbally abusing Sumdac (to protect the human from the Constructicons). Bulkhead berated the scientist for not having the Plasma Dynamic Thruster repaired, which pleased Dirt Boss and terrified Sumdac (who was apparently still somewhat traumatized by his Decepticon Captivity). The Constructicons quickly traveled around town, stealing and gathering fuel supplies. All seemed to go according to Dirt Boss' plan, until Bulkhead turned on them inside the Fossil Fuel Refinery. Dirt Boss planned to blow the refinery up, and Bulkhead made his move. Unfortunately, Mixmaster anticipated Bulkhead's attack, and caught Bulkhead's wrecking ball in one of his mixing drum-forearms. Bulkhead and Mixmaster struggled, as Bulkhead opened his com channel to the other Autobots.
Dirt Boss then fired one of his control screws into Bulkhead and tried to force the Autobot to be the one to ignited the huge storage tank in the center of the refinery. Dirt Boss hoped to make the Autobot destroy himself in the conflagration, and didn't care that Mixmaster was stuck with him. Scrapper said his goodbyes to "Mix". Bulkhead was stopped, though, when the Autobots arrived. They had heard the fight, and left LugNut to lay in the crater, as he was immobilized by Stasis Cuffs.
Dirt Boss forced Bulkhead to attack the Autobots, using Mixmaster as his wrecking ball. Ratchet used his magnets to remove the control screw, and Bulkhead was finally able to free himself from Mixmaster.
Dirt Boss struggled to control the Constructicons, atop the main oil storage tank against the Autobots, as the Autobots fought to keep flames from reaching it, but failed. Sumdac arrived with the Plasma Dynamic Thruster, and Bulkhead used it to teleport the exploding storage tank out of the city. The tank, and the Constructicons materialized just off the shore of Dinobot Island. As the Dinobots turned to see the glowing Space Bridge sphere, the tank sank into the water then turned night into day as it erupted.
The Autobots returned to retrieve Lugnut, but found the crater empty, and no trace of the Decepticon's energy signature.
Far away, in the skies, Lugnut burst through the clouds. Embarrassed by his capture, he asked the Decepticon that rescued him to not tell Megatron about it. His savior, Ramjet, smiled and promised not to tell.
End.
