Four Latino Works in Progress have been selected and will show to invited industryites starting at 10:00 Am on November 2 at the Tcl Chinese Theater 6 in Hollywood CA.
These are feature fictional and documentary films currently in post-production and are centered on the theme of borders, migration, racism, human rights and social movements of Latinos living abroad.

Mubi's retrospective New Argentine Cinema is playing from August 7 - September 28, 2017 in most countries around the world. La CiénagaBeginning in the mid-1990s, young directors, the majority of whom had graduated from one of many film schools in Argentina, began producing low-budget, independent films in a style that earned this group the classification of the New Independent Argentine Cinema.Part of this upsurge had to do with a small grants program that was initiated by the National Film Institute (Incaa) in the mid-1990s. The Man's Woman and Other Stories directed by Amit Dutta will be screened in the International Competition section of the 11th Jeonju Film Festival in Korea. The festival will run from April 29 to May 7. Park Jinoh's debut feature Should Have Kissed will be the opening film of the festival while Pedro Gonzalez-Rubio's To the Sea will be the closing film of the festival.

Jff will screen 209 films from 49 countries this year, including 11 in the international competition.

Locarno, a Swiss fest dedicated to indie arthouse fair, especially with an arthouse lilt, has unveiled its lineup and it includes 10 world premiers. Locarno premiers serious weirdness (and awesomeness) like David Manuli's Beket (review here) which bowed last year.
I have yet to go through everything, so I'm just posting this as of now.
