- A Jewish man from New York who, wanting to raise some money so that he and his wife could start a family, went into business with some Albanian criminals and used his father in law's business as a cover. He entered the Witness Protection Program and spent most of his time longing for his wife. One day he informs Mary that someone is following him. She learns that he was not sent by the Albanians but is a Rabbi from New York. The Rabbi was sent by his wife, who wants a divorce, so he has to sign something. He refuses to do it unless his wife tells him herself. So she comes to New Mexico and he learns something she's been keeping from him which makes him unwilling to give her what she wants.—rcs0411@yahoo.com

An Orthodox Jewish husband and wife sneak in a quick make-out before company arrives. Later, their house is filled with family. She's trying to get pregnant (not that exact moment, just in general). They're observing Shabbas when federal agents bust in. They're there for Hiram Weiss, for various charges related for copyright infringement and theft. But as they put cuffs on the old man the younger one confesses, saying he made copies for Albanian gangsters and his grandfather knew nothing about it. He did it to raise money so he and his young wife could try to have a baby. As she realizes what he's done she tells him never to come near her again.
Avi Rosenzweig enters the program as Andy Roth.
Mary briefs him, but he's totally zoned out. She reminds him Albanian hit men are trying to kill him. He wants to know where his wife is. Mary says Rachel still doesn't want to enter the program. Mary says they need to talk about his faith. He can't wear his yarmulke or go to an Orthodox synagogue because he'll be too easy to find.
Present Day
Mary comes home from a night at Raph's to find Brandi dumping Jinx's booze down the sink. Jinx gets out of rehab this weekend. Mary saves the $50 bottle of tequila.
At the office, Eleanor tells Mary they have a problem, then Andy busts in. He was stocking shelves when he heard someone call his real name. Mary is thrilled because this means she can't pick her mom up from rehab.
They check the home improvement store's video camera. The man's fedora is blocking his face and he paid cash. Mary thinks he's a pro. He bought duct tape and a box cutter.
Mary and Marshall stash Andy in a sleazy hotel. He says he hasn't broken any program rules.
At the office, they review his phone records. His synagogue phone records show someone from his old area code called three days ago.
Brandi welcomes Jinx home. Insulation is still showing through the walls from the FBI raid. Jinx seems shellshocked and just wants to lay down.
There's a knock at the door. It's Peter from the AA meeting. He tracked Brandi down by looking up her mom's DUI through a cop buddy. He hopes that doesn't sound creepy. He wants to invite her to the governor's ball on Sunday.
She recaps: she lies at his meeting, confesses, begs for forgiveness, gets blown off and crashes it again to apologize and he comes to ask her out. Yep, that's it. It's a date.
At the synagogue, a woman tells them a man came by looking for Andy the other day, claiming he was looking for his distant cousin. But he wasn't Albanian. She says if he wasn't a Jew from New York, she's Britney Spears.
Mary goes home to see her mom. She's still deflated and off. She says she's supposed to look for her drinking triggers and the whole place seems like one.
Brandi tells them about Peter. Mary thinks that's great, just when her mom gets sober, Brandi starts dating an alcoholic. "At least he's not a meth dealer," Brandi says, "that's progress, right?"
She thinks she's going to a Governor's Bowl - a football game, maybe. They fill her in on the fact it's the social event of the season. She tells them Peter's last name and they also fill her in that his family owns a ton of car dealerships and half of Albuquerque. He's a millionaire.
Mary and Marshall pack up Andy's apartment and are surprised by the aforementioned Fedora-wearing New York Jew sitting in the dark.
Marshall pats him down. He says he was hired to find Avi. The duct tape and box cutters are to mail a decorative spoon to his sister. She doesn't have Albuquerque yet.
Back home, Jinx starts to do the dishes but, while looking for dish soap she finds Mary's fancy tequila. Brandi interrupts her, suggesting they make some hot cocoa and watch a movie. Jinx is freaked by the close call.
At the office, the mystery man charms Eleanor as he sits. His New York license says his name is Sam Garfinkel. He has no ties to organized crime. Mary's found him out: he's a rabbi. It's about a "get" -- a Jewish divorce necessary in the Orthodox church.
Stan tells them to let him go, but Mary really wants to know how he found Andy. They prepare to relocate Andy. Sam leaves his card.
Mary tells Andy who found him. He thinks it's a trick. He refuses to believe he's already lost his wife.
Mary comes home late to find a note from her mom about pizza in the fridge. There's a knock at the door. It's the rabbi. She's not happy he's intruding on her personal life. He promises he'll find Andy no matter where they put him. It's what he does.
Mary wakes up to find Brandi going through her closet. "I don't have a gown to go to the ball!" she cries. "You seriously just said that and no one hears a talking mouse?" Mary mumbles.
Brandi thinks she needs $1,000 for a dress and she's not in his league. After Jinx tells her she is, Brandi leaves the room and Mary clarifies that they both know she actually isn't.
Mary tries to get Andy to sign the get so the rabbi will stop looking for him. He says if he could see his wife he'd make things right. Mary gets him to agree that if he sees her and she still says no, he'll sign.
Brandi prepares to cancel on Peter, but Jinx wants her to see one thing first.
Mary, Marshall and Avi wait on a deserted road for Rachel. The rabbi brings her. She's pregnant.
He demands to know who did this to her. It's his. He immediately refuses to sign the get. He knows he ruined everything. She says there's nothing to fix. She doesn't want to try. She asks how he can be this cruel to her. She's very worked up and starts grabbing her belly in pain. They rush her to the hospital.
The doctor needs Avi to sign a form to terminate the pregnancy. They can't save Rachel and the baby. Avi won't do it. When he asks how God can do this to him, the rabbi sets him straight. God gave him life, he did everything else to himself. He tells him to stop looking for people to blame. He puts a yarmulke on Avi's head. Avi goes to pray.
Marshall asks Mary how things are going with Jinx. Mary assumes eventually her mom will drink. He tells her to talk to the rabbi. And then they have this conversation: Mary: "You're my rabbi." Marshall (toasting her): "Le'chayim!" Mary: "Gesundheit. Silly wabbi...(pause)...c'mon, say it." Marshall (relunctantly) "Kicks are for trids."
The doctor comes out and tells them they managed to save the pregnancy. Avi hugs everybody, saying it's a miracle. He goes in to see Rachel.
He tells her he doesn't want her to hurt any more. He gives her the signed get and tells her she doesn't belong to anyone and what she does with it is her choice. She's stuck there on bed rest until the baby's born. He's asked not to be relocated until the baby's born. She lets slip that it's a girl and lets him feel her kick. She's OK with the company.
Mary says good-bye to Sam. He tells her families are like puzzles, they fit together in a certain way and when one of the pieces is missing, it throws everything off. He tells her, again, that he finds people, no matter how long they've been gone. He gives her his card, just in case.
Mary comes home and finds her sister looking like a total stunner in a black evening gown - a gift to Jinx from their dad years ago. She looks like Marilyn Monroe.
Peter arrives and, upon seeing Brandi, forgets to breathe for a moment. Then he says hi to Jinx, who he's heard so much about. He brushes off her polite response when he asks how she's doing and says he's a friend of Bill's. She's not doing so good, but trying. He says they'll talk later.
After they leave, Mary tells her mom she did good. Jinx starts crying, saying she has to make amends. But she has something to tell Mary that she's afraid will ruin everything.
She was going through the letters her dad wrote her and she lost one. But Mary tells her she didn't, sometimes she carries it with her. She takes it out of her pocket.
Also, Jinx owes her a bottle of tequila. She had to dump it out.
