Helen has taken the initiative and walked out on Luke, leaving him in a confused state, it almost seems as though he's lost everything.
I suppose this would have been marketed and sold as a comedy drama, I haven't really enjoyed the comedy element, but since the drama element has come to life, the show really has gone on an upward spiral. It's almost a pity that Lane didn't write it as a straight up drama.
Sweet and sour, but it's the sour element that really does work here, does Luke really want Maxine, I'm not so sure.
Jane Asher once again is excellent, I loved that scene where Heleh very calmly picked Luke up from the hospital, and then led him into a messy house, she has been excellent. McEnery and Kendall both did a fine job. Asher's real life sister plays the part of her on screen sister here.
Great to see a small role for John Bird, and Doctor Jameson was one of the better guest characters.
It has definitely gone up a few notches in quality.
7/10.
