Classic star wars
johanake7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Classic plot: Go to new planet, Face a problem, Solve problem, Leave new planet.,

Sounds simple but I like it.

A little slow
hammerhead-dk7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was hoping for my action, but I guess we need to have some slower episodes to bring the story around. Please tell me they do a back story on BAD BATCH as kids training/growing up and their UNIQUE modifications as clones. Omega's head dress will have some significance in later episodes.

I hope she is not being tracked either! Awaiting next week for the 3rd episode, hopefully more action.

A great episode
xpvecpkk7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This was a slow episode, but I don't hold that against it. On the contrary this episode made us see the world threw Omega's eyes. This was the first time Omega was outside of Camino and her reactions to the most mundane things were very realistic, since this was the first time ever she had the chance to just be a kid.

I also would like to mention the amazing dynamic between Hunter and Omega. Hunter really stuggles to accept the role he now has to play on top of running from a forming empire.

Echo was unfortunately a bit sidelined again, but I don't begrudge the creators that they want to give spotlight first to the relatively new characters.

All in all I am excited for comes next.

Stop calling every major plotless episode a filler
rijuchaudhuri7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was such a nice little break from the heaviness of the 74 minutes of Order 66 and the formation of the Empire, not to mention, it's been less than only 3 days since that episode came out.

It was slow, calm and contented -which elegantly shows the warmth and the welcoming of the newcoming show.

Furthermore, it really shows the return of the Clone Wars with Cut Lawquane and Selucami.

We also got to see the beginning of the Empire which one

It wasn't a filler, it was a necessary plot.

Absolutely awesome!

Hunter is like the dad of the group.
movieturtle20137 May 2021
This episode sets up the story.

This episode shows the dynamic of the group in a more calmer setting but the action isn't far. I'm excited to see what future episodes look like and how they develop Omega.

This show is already looking like a classic
kirilukdmitri7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode a lot. I didn't enjoy it like the first episode, but it was still really good. I like how Hunter is learning to be a father-figure for Omega, and watching Omega grow as a character as she left her home planet for the first time is really nice. This show is starting off really good. The amination is great, so are the characters, and it has a lot of great action packed scenes. I can't wait next week for episode #3.

Why isn't Dave Filoni in charge of All Star Wars?
mhorg201811 May 2021
As much as I enjoyed-and I did-the recent 3 Star Wars movies, it's clear from Clone Wars, Rebels and Bad Batch, that Disney should just put Dave Filoni, whose absolute love of the franchise, should be in charge. Why? Because of beautiful scenes like Omega getting off the ship and being fascinated by the smell of the air and the dirt she's walking on. That little part actually choked me up. Her reaction was done so well, and so beautifully, it was amazing. Little things like this, the Nexu and bringing back Cut and his family made this a fantastic episode. Really, put Dave in charge!

Weaker but definitely NOT filler
maxglen7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Following up on the almost perfect "Aftermath" was always going to be an impossible task and this episode is definitely weaker but it is far from filler. In "Cut and Run" Omega visits her first planet away from Kamino and gets a glimpse of what life with a normal family could be, playing with other children, healthy parental role-models, etc. Of course nothing could ever be so simple and the empire have tightened their grip on the planet where rogue clone 'Cut' and his family have been living, forcing him and his family to relocate. It's nice to see Cut again as he always felt a little under-utilised for such a unique character and I appreciate the further exploration of his life. We get a mention of Rex who is supposedly only a day away from the Bad Batch so we will most certainly see him soon and Omega has some important emotional bests with Hunter who is, unbeknownst to him, becoming a father figure to her. Omega removing her Kaminoan headdress Is a subtle but important moment for her character, showing she is taking steps to completely distance herself from that life and stepping into a scary but exciting new one with the rest of the Batch. It's a far slower affair than the relentless premiere but it does a lot with a little and helps flesh out Hunter and Omega further as characters. A strong 7 to a light 8/10.

Still good

Warning: Spoilers
To start filler episode so drop down to nine. But that's the only bad part. The episode itself was great. Finally some closure on cut and a happy moment. The development of a father daughter relationship between hunter and omega. Omega is starting to come into her own and be braver and more independent. It's amazing to see the empire taking over so quickly.

Ok to watch, but pointless Warning: Spoilers
Ok, I did enjoy this episode, but..... Spoilers, so beware..... ,but it didnt add any value to the plot. The guys and onega move to a planet yo get some help afterwhich the have to leave again and didnt receive anything. It was so pointless. Ok such things do hapenin realrime quite often, but watching 30 minutes of a show where at the end nothing is achieved, is a bit pointless. But ok, like I said, it was entertaining.

If you like Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel and Rapunzel you gonna love this episode
kostaaas838 May 2021
If you really like Star Wars probably you gonna hate it.

After such a strong (almost epic) start, the expectations were high.

Unfortunately the second episode went totally "Disney"...

Star-filler
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic22 May 2022
Straight after the opening episode delivered a great setup for this series we go into filler material. This episode is mainly just a slow and uninspiring bit of character building but it is forgivable because this early in the series they need to establish the characters, their motivations and relationships. Also there is a bit of world building as we see how the transition to the new Empire impacts planets and people.

There is also a callback to a character from Clone Wars and some nice moments. So overall this is not great but not bad.

My rating: 7.5/10.

Good solid second episode
chancelormayfield7 May 2021
The father-daughter dynamic they have going on with Hunter and Omega is really really good. They have the opportunity to learn a whole lot from one another and i'm excited to see how these two characters develop throughout this series. I really like Omega. I don't know how this show has made me so attached to her character in just the second episode, but it's happened and i'm here for it. Excited for episode 3!

Knowing how to re-introduce a character
ha77y73ad977 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
From the Bang busting start of the first episode this takes a quieter turn to return to an old savior of Rex during the height of the clone wars. With the code name mentioned at the end of the last episode nice speculation of which character, not even trooper, they were going to meet. Showing there relationship with Cut that's grown since he was discovered by Rex back in season 2 of clone wars.

To another note of the "regs" being used to enforce the will of the Empire is creepy to see how quickly this changed! From Order 66 to the total lockdown of the galaxy the team find themselves is is great, within a week of the take over the oppressions is truly here to stay for the 23 years until the death star 2 is destroyed.

With Filoni at the helm of any star wars property I cannot praise this highly enough. Even though this was a slow episode this did bring back memories of old series and how the galaxy will change until we see Vader finally pass.

Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, Echo, and Omega!

Warning: Spoilers
Great episode, I love the dynamics of the Bad Batch. Omega is getting a little bit more of character treatment, maybe they're giving her the Ahsoka treatment but hey, who knows.

8/10.

Boring

Warning: Spoilers
Okay to bad action, it's like it was made for kids. The first episode was amazing and fun to watch with pretty fun action but this one was meh it felt very childish and almost like a sitcom. I didn't enjoy this and like the previous episode i found omega rather annoying.

It's about family
dominikthoma-003777 May 2021
This episode is mostly about the relationship between Hunter and Omega and the burden of having a family.

Filoni takes the first step and starts developing the protagonists and also shows the effects of the empires rise on ordinary people. It is a slow episode indeed, but the pace fits perfectly to build up to what is still to come.

Weak but not Bad
Luisvtw6 September 2021
"Cut and Run" is a weak but no bad episode. We get to see an old friend and Imust say I was happy to see that face again. We also get to see how the empire is expanding its power in the galaxy and what measures they are taking.

I love the transition from the Republic to Empire. It makes you feel the fear and understanding of the population that the Empire is trying to control everything.

Good, but not nearly as good as the first episode
superyigoolp7 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It was alright. Nice to see some faces from the older episodes. Felt a bit like filler, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. What you can guess from now on is that Omega is basically going to be someone between Ahsoka and Grogu. Going to be able to take care of herself, but still not on a very high level.

Surely not a banger but still a good episode
frappealpistacchio7 May 2021
Music and animation are great, the "fan service" too. It is not a deep or complex episode but in a series of 16 episode it is natural to have some that are just decent.
