I was lucky enough to discover this short horror film from an article on about.com and as you probably can tell I was very pleased with what I saw.
The plot goes like this: after his wife and unborn child are murdered by deranged cult members, an ex-cop, armed with a crowbar, vows to hunt every last one of them down and kill them.
There is some nice action and tension throughout, watching this guy take on a chainsaw-wielding maniac with a bag over his head was great. It's not exactly a bloodbath (though there is a nice decapitation scene), but that's not the focus of the movie, said focus going to the very interesting and engaging story and fittingly grimy atmosphere (taking place almost entirely in alleys and a subway).
There's also a really nice twist ending.
Plus, it's only 12 minutes! Anyone who doesn't like it wouldn't have wasted very much of their time on it. Me? I wouldn't mind watching it again.
