This looks very promising out the gate. A solid cast & great writing that doesn't drip contrived says this can go from very good to must see TV with ease. It definitely deserves more than a mini season of 5-6 episodes.

Too Much Drama. Not Enough Character Building.

Warning: Spoilers
I love the main cast, mainly Eve, Brandy and Taylor Sele, so I wanted to love this, but I didn't. The first episode is stuffed with too much drama: A cancer diagnosis! A Husband caught having an affair with his student! A drug overdose! A physical fight between two group members! A deadbeat Mother! A woman drugs her co-worker! One married group member is cheating on her Husband with a woman and comes out to the other members (Yawn...standard for every show now. Can a show be green-lit without that storyline?). Of course there's some agenda-driven dialogue. Subtle, but it's there. Brandy and Nadine Velazquez have good chemistry. I don't think the rest of the cast has chemistry. The group looks and sounds great, as they should considering three out of four of them are music industry vets. Hopefully in Episode 2, the drama will calm down and I'll get to know the group members deeper in the past (flashbacks) and present.
