Firstly I am English and do not speak Norwegian but that did not spoil my enjoyment of this short film.
I actively try and seek out short films from all over the world as I think watching as many as possible help form a better understanding of film as a whole.
A measured start and controlled pace throughout help develop the relationship between the characters and the world the girl inhabits. The story will not be palatable for everyone but I thought the performances were believable and the emotions were very well handled. It is not an easy subject matter to tackle or to watch but because the film does not judge the characters and invites you to form your own opinions it works very well. Skillfully crafted and technically well put together. A powerful little movie well worth watching.
