Reeks of colonialism and white privilege
cheng-paul869 December 2013
Severely reductionistic with overtones of religious fundamentalism....surprised it was made in 2008 and not in 1998. My eyes were rolling all over the floor as I forced myself through every agonizing minute of the filmmaker gazing off into the third-world distance wondering why such a hefty burden had been placed upon his colonial shoulders. If you have any understanding of how HIV/AIDS work is actually done internationally, or wonder how you could contribute to improving outreach for children suffering from HIV, please don't watch this film. Unless, that is, you want to donate lacrosse sticks instead of money and food to actual organizations that make social change.
