- A new villain, Kilovolt, attacks the new community center, and Angelique gives up names in Forbes' assassination.

- Dana Dewitt and her camera crew arrive at a warehouse to get footage of Batwoman fighting the False Face Society and disrupting their distribution of Snakebite. Batwoman takes down one ganger and then another, and Dewitt says that it's the third depot Batwoman has attacked.
Batwoman rips the mask off of one ganger and demands to know Black Mask's real identity. The ganger says that he doesn't know, and she knocks him unconscious and grabs the mic from Dewitt. Batwoman tells Black Mask that she's coming for him.
Jacob is in his SUV, and listens on the radio as Dewitt says that the citizens of Gotham have high hopes that Batwoman can succeed where the GCPS has failed. A Society ganger chloroforms him from behind.
The Past
Jacob goes to August Cartwright's house, and tells Cartwright that he got a call from Beth. Xxx says that it was a prank, and Jacob doesn't believe him, shoves past him, and goes to the cellar. He hears Beth's voice and breaks down a door, finds Beth, and she hugs him as she says that she knew he would come from her.
The Present
Jacob wakes up in his SUV and discovers that he's been injected with Snakebite.
At the Batcave, Luke tells Ryan that she almost broke the Internet with her latest Society takedown, and got plenty of likes. He figures that Black Mask got her message, and admits that he hasn't worked out Black Mask's identity. Black Mask claimed that Kate killed his daughter, but there's no indication that Kate ever killed anyone. Batwoman realizes that she's late for visiting hours and leaves.
Ryan meets Angelique in prison reception, and Ryan tells her that she's trying to get a community center off the ground and the open house is that night. Ryan says that Angelique could leave prison if she says who killed Forbes, but Angelique doesn't believe her and wonders if Ryan is involved with Batwoman. She then walks off.
That night at the Sheldon Park community center, Jordan thanks everyone for coming and says that none of it would have been possible without their volunteers. She announces that Mary and Ryan are two of the major volunteers, saying that their superheroes. Horten Spence with the Gotham Gazette steps forward and asks about security. Jordan says that they already have enough armed men watching them, and Horten says that it's a rough neighborhood. The director, Imani says that crime has dropped, and suggests that the Gazette do a story about the fact that government has cut funds to the neighborhood.
After the ceremony, Ryan tells Mary that they had a good turnout. Mary goes to refresh the refreshments, and Jordan brings Imani over to introduce her to Ryan. Ryan congratulates Imani on schooling Horten, and she mentions that Jordan has told her Ryan will be teaching a martial arts class. Jordan quickly excuses herself, and Ryan says that she'll do the class. They agree at how important community centers are good for kids who have fallen through the cracks.
The lights go out and a masked man comes in and fires an electrical blaster, setting fires. He runs out before Ryan can go after him.
The next day, Vesper dubs the attacker "Kilovolt". At the Batcave, Luke says that the weapon used costs more than the building. Ryan wonders why Kilovolt would have taken the building out, and points out that Horten asked about the center being attacked just before it was attacked. Luke checks Horten's record and discovers he was fired six months ago from the Gazette for "undisclosed reasons". Mary wonders why Horten's grudge would involve the center.
At the Crows HQ, Sophie and Julia go over Julia's financial records and discover that she is listed at several places across the world that she doesn't remember. An agent comes over and tells Julia that they got an anonymous tip about a break-in at the abandoned Cartwright farm, and the tipster specified the message should go on to "Agent Penny Dreadful". Julia recognizes the alias.
Julia goes to the farm and finds Alice in the cellar. When Alice draws a knife on her, Julia brushes aside and figures that Alice won't kill her because no one else gives a damn about Alice. With Batwoman moving on, Julia figures that it drives Alice crazy. Alice says that she needs a partner, and tells Julia that if she helps her, she'll leave Gotham. She explains that she needs to find Enigma, and says that she good at using hypnotism to erase and alter memories.
Julia figures that Alice wants Enigma to erase her memories, and Julia realizes that Enigma might be related to her own memory lapses. She tells Alice that she might already have found Enigma.
Jacob calls in Evelyn Rhyme to his office, and thanks her loaning her expertise to the Crows' Snakebite Taskforce. He asks her to break down her report in layman's jargon, and she says that the drug brings up memories and lets the user alter the memories. Rhyme figures that Jacob has been using Snakebite, and doesn't believe his denial. Jacob explains that the drug was forced on him to send him a message, and Rhyme only says that she could tell because she's good at her job... and he'll need her help.
That night, Batwoman finds Horten going to his car and confronts him. Horten says that he's worried about Kilovolt, and doesn't know who he is. Batwoman asks how he knew Kilovolt was going to attack the center, and Horten tells her that community centers are being targeted by different attackers. Luke checks the attacks and finds they all have different motives.
Horten says that he was asking questions and got fired from the Gazette. The lights in the alleyway flicker and Kilovolt shoots both of them. Batwoman attacks and knocks him out, but Horten is wounded. When Batwoman goes to him, Kilovolt slips away.
Ryan takes Horten to the Crows' medbay and Mary meets Batwoman there. Mary determines he has third-degree electrical burns. Mary applies treatment, and notes that the laptop Horten was taking out to show Batwoman protected him from the brunt of the blast. Batwoman figures that the computer, and the evidence on it, was Kilovolt's primary target.
Ryan goes to the Batcave where Luke is examining the blaster that Kilovolt dropped when Batwoman attacked. Luke finds a print and accidentally powers up the blaster getting at the print. He runs the print through the computer and determines that it belongs to Michael Kastrinos. Kastrinos is in prison and has been locked up for the last two years.
The next day, Alice meets with Julia. Alice points out from Julia's itinerary that Julia had a meeting with Rhyme, and Julia doesn't remember it. While Alice checks out Rhyme's private office, Julia will track down Rhyme and asks her how they met. Alice tells Julia that they're not so different: they both meet Kate and Kate chose someone else over them. She says that she wants Enigma to erase the person who caused her memories.
Jacob meets with Rhyme in her office, and says that his greatest failure was not saving Beth. That's why he wants another hit of Snakebite so he can be the father he should have been to Beth. Rhyme confirms that he hasn't told anyone else about his family, and says that she can't help him with his withdrawal. However, she advises him to repair his relationship with Mary.
Ryan meets Kastrinos in prison and asks him about the attack on the center. He says that he doesn't have to answer her questions and walks off, and Ryan notices a bandage on his arm where she hit Kilovolt as Batwoman. Ryan calls Luke and tells him that Kastrinos is Kilovolt, and Luke has checked the prison footage and confirmed that Kastrinos was in his cell both nights of the attacks.
Ryan talks to Angelique and asks her if she can help her about any rumors of a secret way out of the prison. Angelique says that if she gives any names, Black Mask will have her killed and Batwoman can't protect her 24/78. Ryan says that she will, and they touch fingers on either side of the glass.
Black Mask shoots the ganger who has brought him the news that no Snakebite has been manufactured in the last two weeks. One ganger says that Black Mask made sure only two people knew how to create the drug. Ocean disappeared weeks ago, and Angelique is locked away in prison. Black Mask considers her words.
Ryan meets with Sophie once she gets the names, and asks her to get Angelique out of prison. Sophie says that she'll check out the name, and if they check out then she'll talk to the DA about getting Angelique released. Luke calls Ryan to the Batcave, and shows her and Mary footage from two weeks ago showing the surveillance tapes were doctored. He points out that Kastrinos was given a parole hearing for release by Edgewater prison, and two prisoners who attacked previous centers were also paroled early. Luke figures that the man responsible is Edgewater CEO Ellis O'Brien, who personally intervened with each early release. O'Brien also sits on the board of the Gazette, so he had Horten released. Ryan figures that Edgewater profits from the kids who fall through the cracks because of the lack of centers.
Roman goes to Jacob's office. When Jacob comes in, Roman says that he needed to talk to someone he can trust. He found Snakebite in one of his employer's lockers. Jacob's hand shakes as he pours himself a drink, and Roman asks Jacob to dispose of the syringe with the drug.
Julia finds Rhyme in the hallways of the Crows HQ, and asks her what they discussed when they met a week ago. Rhyme says that it was a matter of some sensitivity, and they go into an interrogation room. Julia calls Rhyme Enigma, and grabs Rhyme when she tries to run. Rhyme injects Julia with a syringe from her cane, tells Julia that she's going to make her forget again, and Julia passes out from the injection.
At the Batcave, Luke gets a location on O'Brien's phone. Batwoman goes to the construction site of the new Edgewater prison that he's inspecting, and he starts to call in a security team. Batwoman uses a cable to pull away O'Brien's phone, and confronts him with knowledge of his guilt. O'Brien says that there's nothing illegal about what he's doing, and Batwoman steps out and says that he'll do anything to keep the money coming in and that's where he sent people to take out the centers.
O'Brien says he's stalling, and the lights flicker. Luke detects three guards. They step out with electrical guns and fire them at Batwoman, while Luke warns Mary that Batwoman's suit won't protect her from three guns.
Sophie leads a Crows team into the shooting range where one of the attackers worked. They find the bodies of two Society gangers strung up, and Sophie figures that Black Mask is tying up loose ends.
Batwoman attacks the three guards, evading their blasts. O'Brien grabs a gun and shoots her in the back. Luke arrives with the captured guns and knocks O'Brien and his remaining guards out.
The next day, Vesper announces O'Brien's conspiracy and how he went to prison. Horten wrote the story about O'Brien, and Vesper wonders if Horten is now Batwoman's "Lois Lane".
Alice breaks into Rhyme's office and searches it, sneezes in her Kleenex, and finds her appointment book with Jacob's name listed for an appointment. She plays back a recording about how Jacob is looking for another Snakebite hit, and saying that his greatest failure wasn't saving Beth. Alice sways that she's sorry that she wants to forgive him, but forgetting is easier. With that, she erases the wedding.
Mary visits Horten to give him medicine for his burn, and congratulates him on getting his job back and a promotion. After Horten leaves, Jacob arrives and says that he wants to help her start her clinic back up. Mary says that she opened up the clinic to help people who aren't legit, and she feels like what she does matters. She tells Jacob that she'll never forgive him from trying to take that away from her.
Sophie learns that Julia has requested a transfer to Berlin. Julia vaguely says that it feels right and there are too many memories in Gotham, and leaves.
Imani visits Jordan at the Hold Up, and says that they've gotten good promotion on the center, lots of donations, and she's signed up for Ryan's martial arts class. Sophie comes in, talks to Ryan privately, and says that the DA signed off on Angelique's deal and she'll be off the grid in protective custody. She says that it may be a while until Ryan can talk to her again, and gives her a cell phone.
In his office, Jacob closes the shutters and gives himself the dose of Snakebite that Roman gave to him. He sits down and rewrites his memories so he saves Beth from Cartwright.
Ryan calls Angelique, who is on the road with the two witsec guards. As Angelique thanks Ryan and starts to say she loves her, two Society gangers cut off the SUV, shoot the guards dead, and abduct -Angelique. The phone falls on the ground as they load her into their car and drive off
