By Episode 3, Sunny Khan has had enough of Jessie James's aloofness and rudeness. He goes to his superiors to make a complaint.
I guess from now on, the only way is up. DCI James sends Sunny to Paris to interview a potential lead. He can see the white of their eyes. Noting how Sunny can judge whether people are hiding something.
DCI James ups her game by going to see Lord Tony Hume and not being convinced by him.
She also talks to Ebele Falade and builds up a picture of her dead daughter. Especially how Precious got involved with a cult when she was still a teenager.
The episode ends with more links made between some of the main characters.
I do think that the introduction of a new main character has slowed down the pace a little. So far the series has been intriguing but slow going.
