Eighty percent of the film was shot with two people. Actor, Katie Mallinson and filmmaker Aaron Doolittle operated camera, audio and lighting entirely by themselves.
The first version of the script was based on a true story but due to rewrites "based on a true story" was omitted from all promotions.
The narrative was structured to require as minimal people as possible during the pandemic. Charlotte's "fourth wall" breaking monologues intended to advance the story, as well as make it possible to produce a film with only two people.
Shot over the course of three weeks. The script, the rehearsal process and production adhered to strike CDC guidelines. The first week was entirely produced between two people. The second week included no more than two actors while social distancing. Between the cast and crew no more than five people worked together at any given time.
The only directorial note that Katie Mallinson was given was, "You are John Cusak."
