Solid Episode
harleyeaston-6938110 May 2021
Family Guy I feel is going back to the previous form. If I were to critique one thing, I feel like, at the end of the lesson, the people in the next episode should follow that thing they learned. Because usually at the end of the episode, they just go back to their previous forms. This isn't a new problem it's been here for a long time. However, this episode is great. I think maybe best of the entire season.

Not Bad
colek-3711710 May 2021
Nobody felt overly terrible in this episode it didn't feel as mean spirted a little sexual humor that is gross but normal i didn't really care about the side plot with the guys that much it really felt like it was one plot and it focused on it well it had some pretty decent cutaways not really heavy on comedy but one thing that interested me is that quagmire and Brian's Rivalry just was kinda swept under the rug so overall not bad.

Certainly not a classic, but as a cat lover I got a kick out of a lot of this episode.

Mixed Feelings

Warning: Spoilers
I really loved the beginning, as we need more Peter, Joe, Quagmire and Cleveland!! Not enough of them this season. I love cats, and I enjoy the humor. Brian not being believed because of his nature and Meg standing up for herself in little spurts that goes no where are tropes that are WAY too overplayed. They aren't bad or boring, I've just seen them way too much. This wasn't a bad episode at all, this was just all replayed tropes. The Griffins get a new animal, Brian hates them, deviates a plan, no one understands it and way prefers the new animal, and the animal turns out to be evil in the end. Season 19 has been better in the second half, not outstanding by any means. I like this episode.

Really bizarre episode - kitty cats are crazy and rule!!!

Really bizarre episode for Family Guy - cat lovers beware!!

Look for:

1. The cat - really out there!!!

2. The various side stories - really strange.

3. The ending - Meg is saved and the story goes on.....

Just have a drink or two and enjoy the episode!!!

Good

I am a cat person and i personally like this episode, family guy roasts everyone and isn't afraid to do so, so if you're a cat person and disliked this just because they made fun of cat owners, then you might aswell just not watch this show at all.

Okay episode, but too much of repeating the whole "Brian being replaced" thing
opalpika13284 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It definitely would be good if the Griffins did get another pet and not have it interfere with Brian's pet status. On "The Man with Two Brians", because of his old age, Peter brings in New Brian, making the "Old Brian" upset and feeling unwanted. New Brian gets killed later though. Then you had Brian's "short death", which might have been short because of the whiners not wanting Brian to be replaced by Vinny, another dog after Brian died. This may also be the reason why the writers won't allow the Griffins to even get another pet in the household, to not have backlash over taking screentime away from Brian.

Pouncy the cat would've definitely made a good addition to the family, if it wasn't for her being evil and wanting to make Meg a cat lady. The way everyone was ignoring Brian when he was trying to warn them that she is evil, was almost the same way that everyone was ignoring him for New Brian in "Man with Two Brians ". Also a thing some people also didn't like was Brian fighting the cats, cat lovers definitely didn't enjoy this scene, it wasn't as violent as the episode that had Chris and Meg fighting and killing students in school, but I can see why people wouldn't like the Brian fighting cats scene. So yeah, Quagmire ends up getting Pouncy and the cats, and it's just back to only Brian with the Griffins again. If they were going to just tease the fact that the Griffins were never going to get another pet, this episode shouldn't have been made.

Really unique episode
BurntPug9 May 2021
I don't think Family Guy has ever tried a story like this one. It's a very creative and funny idea, and I hope the rest of the episodes in this series follow a similar structure.

One of the better episodes of this season.
checkinac10 May 2021
This season is much better than the last few seasons. There were some duds, but the majority of the better episodes were interesting though. This episode was super on point about cat lovers and cats as house pets. Great episode.

The other episode with a cat
croc-574-20256924 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
That was way better than this but family guy should have ended back at least 10 years ago. Hannah banana, mode over murder, a hero sits next door, love thy trophy, death is a b, if I'm dyin' I'm lyin', road to Rhode Island and road to Germany and others but they are some classics that they will never top.

Spoiler Alert 🚨
DarkDragon_85216 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The plot (spoiler alert) involves a feral cat that is adopted by the Griffin family, but the cat has less than honorable intentions. Pouncy, as the cat is called, is part of a long-term feline plot to control the human race by spreading a parasite called toxoplasmosis that purportedly affects human behavior. Pouncy sets his sights Meg, the daughter of the family, and starts to turn her into a crazy cat lady.

Happy with this Warning: Spoilers
This episode is a ten because it reminded me of the joy of Seasons early on that were absurd and went against the grain. If you have been with family guy from the start then you know this episode has everthing to make it perfect. Spoilers: The Brian Cat Fight! The sequence where Meg and Pouncey dance! Star Wars! 8+ Stewie tags and side gags! This episode joins the ranks in my opinon of the episodes I feel capture the very best of family guy.

Brian was right about cats!
amindostiari26 May 2021
Brian was right about cats. Unfortunately, Glenn has also fallen victim to cats😂. This episode had an interesting story and subject.

very underrated

Warning: Spoilers
Seemed like a boring premise, but managed to be funny and entertaining. Pouncy is a good character, so they don't ruin the experience too much. She and Brian have funny interactions. I like the twist she was actually evil and it led up to a good action scene and climatic ending.

Anti-feline propaganda
Amthermandes22 December 2023
Getting reeeaaalll sick of the constant entertainment media perpetuating the ridiculous cat stereotypes. "Cats are evil," "cats enslave their owners," "cats don't care about their owners." There are more lies about cats than any other pet, and it's one thing to play to the stereotypes for the sake of entertainment, but this episode is so full of ignorance about cats it's infuriating.

Every negative jab at cats in this episode can be contributed to dogs and dog owners. So why do cats always get the bad rap? Cats rule, dogs drool. There's a lot more truth to that than people may think. Sure it's just a stupid show, but these stereotypes against cats are just getting out of control and I'm getting rather sick of it. This is Family Guy at its worst, just uneducated and pathetic.

Fright night!
Doctor_Enigmatic7 March 2023
The whole dog vs cat thing is amazing. I got a cat a couple of years ago. Was never really a cat person, my parents weren't fans and we had a dog. I swear the show has gotten so much better over the last handful of seasons. Don't often have those moments where a song gets played way to annoyingly much. The character transformation of Glenn is... Interesting. I miss the old Glenn, the cat side is somehow a fitting evolution, but not as funny as classic Q. Great to see Meg getting more time.

As soon as the cat turned in the radio I recognized the song. I was thinking there was no way they were going to do that. Seems most people forgot about Fright Night, and most younger folk who'd watch this would have a slim chance of knowing it. The dance and everything was so amazing. Great homage moment.
