Its ok.

I watched episode one. For a kids show designed to sell a card game, its pretty good. The animation is decent. I like the theme song. I'm definitely not going to watch anymore, but if I'd found this a few years ago, I'd probably have loved it.

Decent girly anime

Warning: Spoilers
I haven't seen the whole series, just episodes 17-20 from a UFA DVD, "German" title "Pretty Cure", from the bargain bin (2€ being a good deal, I think). But watching all four of them in a row gives quite some impression already, especially the ritual executed once per episode ("Cure White!"- "Cure Black!"- "White thunder!"- "Black thunder!"- "Marble beam!") Two schoolgirl with the typical maximal eyes and minimal noses go through the troubles of normal life, as well as saving the earth from eery foes. A nice addition are Mipple and Mepple, kind of live Tamagotchis living each in one cell-phone, and having their tempers sometimes.

Of the episodes, I liked 17 (pupils help harvesting on a farm) best. Maybe I'll get a better feeling for the others on repeat viewing. In any case, with Japanese soundtrack this is a decent addition to an anime fan's collection.. :)

Toei has done well again for this series

This is another animated series I automatically love after searching for anime series to watch; especially series from Toei Animation. I love their stuff. I vaguely remembered seeing a snippet of this "magic girl" when it was on YTV and in English. But I don't actually remember when I saw it. I was curious, though, so I looked at fan-art and screencaps online and thought: "I wanna watch that show now!" Fortunately, when I got my account on Crunchyroll in 2015, I found this series on it, watched it, and now it is another "magic girl" favorite; I have thirty-two other favorites.

As I could remember the story goes that two stuffie-like "fairies" had traveled from home world known as the Field of Light and enlist two girls Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro, to become the Legendary Warriors of light called Pretty Cure to battle the evil Dark Zone and protect the Field of Light's precious treasure - the Prism Stones.

I must say that Toei had done well again in the magic girl genre. I thought this anime was awesome with humor as well as superb animation (I always say that I know). I love the episode where Honoka's parents came to visit her on her birthday, and the episode where her dog Chutaro made friends with a lost puppy. So despite a couple of characters I really hate (which I don't want to talk about), I love every bit of this series. And I know I would say this, but I wish the series in on North American DVD.

Pretty cure review

When I watched the first show I like the magic transformation that the girls had to do before they were in their uniform and could fight the bad guys. But every having to watch that same transformation happen ever 30 minute anime got to be too much. It got boring after a while to see that every 30 minutes. The anime was nicely designed. I liked the side animal/ creature characters they they had. They were curly designed. The magic girls clothes were design fine. The over plot of the show was a tiny bit boring. But I was able to sit through and watch all the episode so it wasn't too bad. I understand why some people would like magic girl becuse it can be inspiring to see girls being the hero of the story instead of men. Especially as a girl but it there wasn't enough things that I liked a lot about it that would make me want to watch this again. The script was about average. The villains were ok. Some of the villain designs were good. The show keep switching the villain purest too much for my like. It would have been better if the story had fewer villains in it. I like the colors that were used in this anime. He character development was a little bit unless then average. I would recommend younger women and girl watch it. But the whole family can watch if you want. If you like magical girl anime you might also enjoy this series.

Magic is bad!

It's evil! I can't handle the tournament anymore!

The reason why a proper English dub of the Pretty Cure Franchise is not gonna happen because magic is bad!

Watch Berenstain Bears or the Powerpuff Girls instead.
