Corny but watchable

"Mistérios da Meia-Noite" is a masterful classic from Zé Ramalho and it was a huge hit back in 1985 due to its inclusion as part of the soap opera "Roque Santeiro" soundtrack as the theme from the sinister character played by Rui Resende. I just discovered recently that the song got a music video starring Ramalho and Luiza Brunet in one of her earliest acting roles.

Nothing so interesting happens here but the video fits the song with its themes of mystery, night creatures and seduction. Here, Ramalho plays a sort of vampire character who lusts and longs for the seductive woman played by Brunet while she prepares herself to go to bed and the man spies her from afar while performing the song. It's all very simplistic and corny; the song is the true highlight even though I'm not even all that fan of the track.

What can I say...it's harmless and can guarantee a couple of laughs along the way. 6/10.
