The Horror Hall of Fame III (1992)
** (out of 4)
Robert Englund returns for the third and final entry in this series, which was meant to pay tribute to the genre's greatest names and films. At the end of the episode Englund promised to return for another but that wasn't to be and considering how far the quality had fallen from the first it's easy to see why.
The only film submitted to the "Hall of Fame" was THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN and the rest of the running time shows the five Best Picture nominees (laughable) as well as a magic show and a performance of "Monster Mash" by Bobby Pickett.
As you can tell, everything that made the first two Hall of Fame ceremonies so terrific are missing here and this thing is rather pathetic and poorly made when you get down to it. Englund really doesn't have much to do and the lack of any familiar faces just kills it. I mean, a magic act? Really?
