Freezing conditions. Dangerous stunts. Here are a few examples of actors who've suffered through some high-profile film roles...
When DiCaprio lifted his Best Actor trophy at this year's Oscars, we're surprised he didn't scream, "It's about damn time I won one of these. I slept in a goddamn hollowed-out horse for you people!"
Ah yes, the hollowed-out horse. But there was also the scene where DiCaprio had to eat a raw bison liver, or the sundry moments where the actor had to crawl in and out of freezing cold lakes and rivers. At a time when whizzy computer effects can make the impossible look possible, the cast and crew of The Revenant decided to take a decidedly analogue approach to making their period survival drama, with the long, arduous shoot taking place in ice-cold parts of Canada, the Us and Argentina.

‘The Texas Chain Saw Massacre’ actress Marilyn Burns dead at 64 The Texas Chain Saw Massacre actress Marilyn Burns, the one cast member who manages to survive Leatherface in Tobe Hooper’s low-budget 1974 horror cult classic, was found dead on Tuesday, August 4, 2014, at her home in the Houston area. According to her manager, "she was found unresponsive by a family member." The cause of death remains unclear. Burns (born on July 5, 1950, in Erie, Pennsylvania) was 64. The Houston-raised Marilyn Burns began appearing in films in the early ’70s. She had a bit part in Robert Altman’s Houston-filmed Brewster McCloud (1970), starring Bud Cort, Sally Kellerman, and Shelley Duvall, and was later cast in a supporting role in Sidney Lumet’s Austin-shot 1974 drama Lovin’ Molly; however, Burns was ultimately replaced by Susan Sarandon, reportedly remaining in the production as a stand-in for both Sarandon and Blythe Danner. Also in 1974, Marilyn Burns landed the...

Phase 4 Films is all set to release the horror/thriller Terror Trap onto DVD this September 27th. After watching the trailer we couldn't help but notice the remarkable similarities to another movie. In fact the similarities are so blatant that we swear that the filmmaker Dan Garcia should have renamed the script Vacancy 3, and sold it. Terror Trap stars David James Elliot, Jeff Fahey and Michael Madsen. The only extra that will be included o…...

If the plot to Terror Trap sounds familiar to you, it might be because the upcoming Jeff Fahey/Michael Madsen/David James Elliot thriller is such a blatant rip-off of Vacancy even The Asylum would be dumbstruck by how much it copycats.
Terror Trap (review here) stars David James Elliot of “J.A.G.” as one half of a squabbling married couple forced to get a room at a fleabag motel where maniacs Jeff Fahey and Michael Madsen run a snuff movie operation. The married couple fights to survive the night, healing their fractured marriage in the process. No, that doesn’t sound familiar at all.
Terror Trap is brought to us by filmmaker Dan Garcia. I just reviewed another movie, Flesh Wounds (review here), he made coming to DVD next month, a shameless Predator rip-off. It’s hard not to notice a pattern developing.

The final DVD artwork is here, for Dan Garcia's (Enemies Among Us) Terror Trap. This is a small budgeted horror film, which was shot in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The film stars Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), as Carter, a shady motel owner. And things change from mysterious to deadly when Don (David James Elliot) and Nancy (Heather Marie Marsden) show up for am unexpected visit.
Unfortunately, early reviews have been critical of this title and the Terror Trap has been compared to a "less tense" Vacancy (Horror Asylum), from director Nimrod Antal. However, based exclusively on the surface of the DVD cover, characters are not whom they seem to be. Terror Trap releases on DVD September 27th and details on the release are below.
Tagline: "Once you check in, there is no escape!"
The synopsis for Terror Trap is here:
