A great film. Characters of Indian background but a very modern Melbourne story.

The perennial struggle of the artist, the complexities of divorce relationships, the gnawing uncertainty of health, the lure of quick money, and an insightful father-daughter relationship are all woven into a very extremely interesting and well told story.

The title 'TAJ' is very cleverly the platform on the which the storyline is built. Around a beautifully created model of the TAJ Mahal - the , tireless symbol of love - is unraveled threads of love, built and ... as a member of the audience, we find so engaging.

The acting is extremely good and the Directional touches excellent. A very good film to watch.

This movie is a gem, the main actors are brilliant, I really cared about the characters, I jumped out of my seat at one point, laughed out loud several times, & teared up a couple of times. It's moving without being cloying, the storyline of the broken father & child relationship really resonated with me, but it was told in such a fresh & original way. I love that the writer/director built complexity & light & shade into the main characters & their friendships, so that our feelings about them change as who they are unfolds through the story. I took away the message that even being deeply flawed doesn't mean there isn't hope. The central device of the white Lego blocks is beautiful & powerful (no spoilers, watch it & you'll see what I mean). The colour palette throughout is beautiful. It's also lovely seeing lesser known streets & buildings of my city on a big screen, Melbourne is like a flavour in the film. There are some really cool locations you may not consciously recognise yet they'll seem familiar. Also I wish I lived in a record shop!

I found the film to be beautiful. Fresh faces, unknown actors, but yet very talented. Not very well known Director, but so courageous to pull off such a master piece. Loved the story line, which is so realistic, yet different. Great dialogue, cinematic Actors and filmed in our beautiful city Melbourne!

There are so many broken marriages out there, with children having to spend time with each parent and make that connection where the child feels comfortable to be around them. This story just warms your heart as the story is told.

Highly recommend to all the movie lovers and I'm happy to watch it again.

What a lovely film. It gradually builds over time into a complex story about family bonds, the conflicts that exist in us all.

The characters are extremely believable and real. The actors are skilful and natural and each convincing in their parts. I liked the buildup and the symbolism in the building blocks of the Taj Mahal. Quite an allegory for life. There is a lovely somnolence throughout and quite clearly the director cares about his characters and the story he is telling.

Fantastic debut. I hope more people see this film as it's a treasure. I commend the director, actors and everyone involved in making a heartwarming, very relatable film about the bonds that are hard to break, but one's that keep us more alive and make life worth living. Go and see it.
