Every morning, the Residents of a Mill Colony queue-up before a Milk Booth to buy their milk bottles. But when Sher Singh, an imposing Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police comes, everyone greets him and gives him way to reach the booth counter directly. One day, his arrogance is shattered when a child Mohan dares to ask him how could a man, supposed to maintain law & order, break the long queue before the milk booth? This was enough to burn Sher Singh with rage and a tug of war begins between him and the child. Mohan, whose father is a Gandhian union leader, finally wins the battle. Sher Singh learns his lesson and begins to stand in the queue like a common man.

Golu, a poor kid, always becomes a laughing stock because he is a simpleton. His parents are always worried about his future and wonder how would Golu cope up with the present competitive cunning world. But Golu's new geography teacher believes that everyone in this world is gifted with one talent or other and everyone can flourish if that talent is discovered and pursued. Everyday, on his way to school, when Golu passes by a dilapidated house of Guruji, his melodious voice practicing Indian classical ragas mesmerizes him. One day, Golu tells his Mother that Guruji's music interests him more than his studies and he wants lessons with him. But Mother tells him that Guruji is a very difficult person. No one has ever seen a smile on his face. Orthodox and disciplinary Guruji does not take on students so easily. Yet, Golu tries to approach him. And every time he does so, some funny incident happens and Golu is kicked out of Guruji's house. Finally, Golu's keen interest, patience and persistence pays off. To everyone's surprise, Guruji accepts Golu as his student.

Rachna is writing a thesis on Bhil Tribe and plans a visit to Jhabua, a tribal area in Madhya Pradesh (India). Though unwilling, her husband Dev Saxena, a government officer, also accompanies her to spend his vacations. Contrary to his wife, he has got a very low opinion about the tribal. In Jhabua, they come in touch with a Bhil family. As a part of tradition, Bhils take home made Mahua liquor on all occasions right from their birth to death.For them, its like a 'prasad'. Dev develops a taste for this cheap country liquor and wants to make a quick buck by selling it in town. For this, he starts exploiting poor Bhil Mangya's family and lures them with money. This results into a serious conflict between husband and wife. Gattu,son of Mangya,finally revolts and breaks the trap of money & liquor !
