Syd vs Gws, at the SCG.

Warning: Spoilers
Swans come into the game 4-0, the Giants 1-3. Mcinerney everywhere, though not necessarily having success. The Giants just don't do enough without the ball to impact the opposition, so they often have these long drought periods within a game, Swans up 11 after one. A good grab and goal by Riccardi, Buddy with 3 goals in the half, while Toby very inaccurate up the other end. The other Giants follow suit in the 3rd, with some woeful misses. McCartin made of granite, gets clobbered in the face and immediately gets up continuing to play, the teammate who clobbered him went off, heh. The Giants get back within a goal, a low scoring game and completely up for grabs. Hayward doing well in Heeney's role. Hickey going off injured, hurts the Swans as Mumford starts to take over. Kelly snaps a goal with a minute left of play, putting the Giants ahead, they get over the line by 2 points, keeping their season alive. Clearances and inside 50's even, the Giants with more possession, the Swans with 27 more tackles, the Swans with 4 more scoring shots. Buddy not as quick as he once was, but has the bulk to hold his ground and take the contested grab these days, with 5 contested marks and 5 straight goals. Mumford backs up last week's game, getting the Giants over the line, with 28 hit-outs, 8 clearances and 6 tackles. Hopper, Taylor and Green also among the best for the Giants. Along side Bud, Reid and Hayward good for the Swans.

3. (Syd) L. Franklin, 2. (Gws) S. Mumford, 1. (Gws) J. Hopper.
