I watched the first episode with a bit of hesitation because I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I ended up being both pleasantly surprised and immediately hooked. All reality shows tend to be heavily edited and scripted to control the narrative. FMM came across as refreshingly honest.

The title would have you believe they were searching for the next person to star in the Las Vegas Magic Mike Live show. That wasn't the case. I loved seeing the bond form between the contestants as they all struggled to challenge themselves and grow.

IMO, ignore the 1-star reviews and give this show a chance. I hope they do another season.

Marathoned this while I was home sick and it was such a pleasant surprise. Sure, it's about average dudes learning how to give lap dances and grind on the floor, but it's also about self discovery and acceptance. I dare you to watch more than one episode and not be rooting for these guys. Also, as a dancer and aerialist, I don't think people realize how impressive it is to learn that much choreography (especially aerial) in such a short period of time. No small feat.

No spoiler to let you know: Channing Tatum does NOT make an appearance in the show he co-produced. Which is based on the films he produced. Which are, you know, based on HIS life. The guys are hot, though & interesting. And there's some solid reality-competition drama. Do feel like COVID foreshortened this 1st. Planned season.

This show was way way WAY better than I expected it to be. These men were all amateurs with no dance experience, and were so sweet and vulnerable. It was like watching your boyfriend earnestly learn how to try out for Magic Mike.

The production was fantastic, and it was just so fun to watch. I loved Adam Rodriguez he was so sweet and joyful.

I ended up watching the entire thing in one day I was so delighted with it.

This show was so much more heartfelt and inspiring than I thought it would be! It's so sweet and so awesome watching the contestants grow through the season. The people who left bad reviews obviously didn't understand the point of the show!

This show was a pleasant surprise. The support the guys all show for each other is encouraging. The dancing is stellar. I have seen the show live in Vegas once before, and this absolutely makes me want to go back! I hope there are more seasons to come!

As a gay man I was confused by what this is and who it's for. Do straight women get turned on by seeing men do choreography in jeans. Is this something that women seek out? The people at the audition in the first episode are not the same men as the 7th episode. For a show about stripping all the men keep their clothing on, I only watched the first and last episode, because I'm not going to torture myself with this pointless piece of content, but I didn't see nudity, I didn't even see a tushy.

Binge watched the entire series in one afternoon. This show was so much more than I thought it was going to be about. It's more than just taking off their clothes, it's about their personalities, characters and lives.

This is so cringey lmao who thought about doin this and approving it, like lit some business men sat on and room ad said lets make this show, like WTF.

I wasn't expecting much from this competition series... but was absolutely blown away! It was nothing what I had expected... I ended up binge watching because I couldn't stop watching it. I loved it!

There, I said it. This show made me fall in love with every single contestant and I genuinely cried when they left, especially towards the end. This show consists of the realest people out there forreal. You will see transformations, huge life lessons, and such strong bonds being formed amongst men. Every single person had to face their insecurities, sense of self worth, and put themselves out there in a way we are all scared to do. I don't know if this show was intended for women but I feel like men would have so much to gain from watching this show. Oh and also it's AMAZING to watch the performances, had me grinning the whole time. This season genuinely made me happy and filled my heart.

There's not way you can watch this and not give it 10 stars. This is about regular guys who lost their magic- coming together to get it back and I'm telling you- it's addictive. It's so positive- so uplifting but somehow still moving and dramatic. I seriously lost it in Episode 5. I knew nothing about Magic Mike but when I saw this- it made we want to know more. It's that good y'all!

I haven't even watched 10 minutes of the show and I'm already upset. It's okay to normalize and make a competition about men strippers. But when it comes to women who are strippers they are just classified as h*es. I think it's crazy. We NEED to normalize women strippers. And make sure that they will be able to sell out big arenas and be in stripper competitions with out getting a label. This NEEDS to change!!!!

I went into this show fully prepared for just some fun, mindless beefcake action but when I found myself actually crying for the first guy eliminated from the Top 10, I knew the show was more than that. Finding Magic Mike finds men bonding, not over sports or stereotypically male interests, but rather over shared insecurities, relationship issues, and goals/dreams. There's one meathead in the mix, but even he has his moments, and all of these guys seem to genuinely care about each other. They can compete without getting cutthroat. None of the usual "I didn't come here to make friends" drama that reality TV usually serves up. And then eliminations are handled better than I've ever seen on a show like this: with real care and encouragement, via private conversations. When anyone is voted off, the other guys react as if they're losing a brother and it's heartwarming to see. I'm just assuming that these guys are BFFs forever, and no one better ruin my fantasy! And that's not exactly the type of fantasy I would've ever thought this show would make me have. 😄

I didn't expect to like the show, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed watching all of them grow into the men they want to be.

It's more a competition about themselves than each other which makes this show very refreshing and enjoyable.

Obviously watching because of the franchise. I've liked seeing that men have the same insecurities as women. I found myself rooting for the underdogs !
