The Field of Dreams Vintage Vehicle Glamping site around which the series was based was closed down ahead of its planned season end in late September 2021, due to issues with inclement weather and the vehicles/tents not being adequately weather-sealed. Two of the vehicles shown in the series, Johnny Vegas' 1960s Maltese Bedford SLCO-based bus and Beverley Dixon's 1958 Austin Paralanian, were loaned to the collection of the North West Museum Of Road Transport for public display. As of October 2018, a more permanent location for an expanded version of the glamping site was being sought, to be located in the southeastern UK within a two-hour drive of Surrey.
On Friday, 11th March 2022, Channel 4 Television announced that they have commissioned Plum Pictures to produce a 6-episode second series of the popular show. In series two, Johnny wants to expand the business but due to planning restrictions is unable to do so at the current site in Yorkshire, so the search is on for a new site and that hasn't stopped Johnny buying more vehicles - including an old helicopter.
