Laura knocks on the door and calls to Rita that they need to meet in three minutes, and Rita meets with the others with Laura insisting on leading the meeting. Laura reminds them that they orchestrated the breakout at the Ant Farm, and angrily says that the team freed the Sisterhood of Dada, a group of terrorists that she wants the team to find and kill them. When the team points out that they're not killers, and Larry asks what makes Laura sure that the Sisterhood are bad people, Laura hands out a photo of one of the Sisterhood's cell where a prisoner wrote down that the Eternal Flagellation is coming. The same insignia has been found all over the world, and indicates a global conspiracy. Darren Jones tracked the Sisterhood to their current location
Laura figures that she came there through Time and Space because the Eternal Flagellation needs to be stopped, and she can't do it herself. The team are reluctant to kill, and Laura asks them to observe and report by pretending to join the Sisterhood like their insignia says. Jane asks that if they do it, will Laura goes way forever. At the manor, Rita and Laura have martinis. Laura shows Rita the letter that Nile wrote about her saying that she was a menace, and Rita dismisses Niles as manipulative. She figures that whatever the others derives from the Sisterhood will help Laura, and Laura admits that she has no idea what the Sisterhood will yield. She says that her flashes of memories of her past life are wearing on her, and she wonders if she could be the woman in Niles' letter. Half-drunk, Laura says that the whole thing is ridiculous and Rita tells her to fake it until she makes it. Rita says that she doesn't feel worthy of her apparent life as a time traveler, and has to believe that eventually her destiny will snatch her from the stasis her life is currently in. Meanwhile she makes herself another martini and tells Laura that she drinks and makes friends, and gives a martini to Laura. They share a toast, and Laura says that she doesn't think her destiny will come and snatch her up. Shew mentions that her time machine is broken. Jens says her name, and Shelley asks again who Jane is. Jane says that she's the person who will whip Shelley's eyes out if she touches, and asks who Shelley and the Sisterhood are. Shelley figures that Jane is there for the Eternal Flagellation, and Jane agrees and asks what the Flagellation is. Shelley admits that it might be pretentious bullshit, but the question remains of who Jane is. Jane starts to go, and Shelley tells her that she's limiting herself because Jane and Kay are never truly free until they know themselves. She says that Kay knows herself, but Jane doesn't.
Sitting back down, Jane asks Shelley who she thinks Jane is. Shelley thinks Jane is scared and prone to leaning back on old habits, and what Jane believes isn't true. She produces a candy from Jane's ear, eats it, and says that even the most sorrowful thing must sample the taste of honey sometime.

Then he figures that he's not technically a robot because he has a human brain but even that's not working right. Cliff says that he's been dead before, but now it's and he'd cry if he could. Sachiko says that she knows what it's like to fear one's death, draws a symbol of the flower on the glass, and makes it float off. Cliff tries to hug Sachiko, and she fearfully backs away

The same figure walks by, uttering gibberish, and then Larry's son Paul appears out of the fog, turns around, and walks away. Larry goes after Paul.
At the manor, Laura and Rita are dancing to 1940'S music next to the time machine. Rita puts the missing part in, and suggests they go to 1917 when the film was dated. She figures that once the others return, Laura will go back to figure the rest of it out. Rita tells Laura that the self she can't remember is good, but Laura walks off. Despite that, Rita says that she'll be waiting there for Laura to come back.

Vic asks Lloyd about the Eternal Flagellation, and if it's part of the Sisterhood. Lloyd repeats his earlier question of "Why are you?", and says that someone just answered him with Vic's voice. Vic tells Lloyd to answer his own question, and Lloyd says that he's loved with torrid abandon, and has laughed his father's laugh. He is because he's bled and suffered, but what he is of no importance to Vic. but it doesn't matter to Vic because all he is is a raised hand. Vic says that he knows what it is to suffer, and he's known discrimination. Via angrily snaps at Lloyd, saying the man doesn't get to tell him who he is.
When Vic says that Lloyd is only free because of him, Lloyd dismisses it as the language of the oppressor and says that he was in a cage for nearly a century. Because of that, the Eternal Flagellation is so important.
Jane insists that the personas are afraid for Kay, and Shelley asks if they're afraid for Kay or of Kay. She asks Jane if it would be free to express herself and get lost in only her thoughts, and her desires. Kay speaks up, saying she'd like that, while Hammerhead starts to smash the glass.
Cliff starts to crack the glass cell, and Sachiko puts on a rebreather to protect herself from the germs. Coming to a realization, Cliff says that he should be with Rory and living, and being the best grandpa ever. He mention being on as mission for Laura, and Sachiko hears him.
So do Shelley and Lloyd, and they realize that Laura sent the team. Hammerhead smashes through the glass. In the ice cream truck, Holly wakes up upon hearing Laura's name, puts on her headphones, and sleepwalks to where Cliff and Sachiko are.
Lloyd tells Vic that he can't stop the Flagellation, and the world needs it and Vic needs it. Lloyd's bicycle wheels spin, raising a tempest. Vic summons an energy shield to protect himself s Lloyd asks why he is.

He goes to his room and finds the mask that Lloyd was carving on the bust, in his jacket pocket. There are words printed on the inside, saying "Approximate Man". Vic smashes the clay mask against the wall.
Cliff goes to his laptop in the kitchen, plugs in the tube with his drugs, and looks at the photos of Rory on his laptop. He sends a message that he's getting better, then clicks on a gambling pop-up ad.
In the Underground, Jane goes to see Kay. Harrison, Hammerhead, and Pretty Polly bar Jane's way, and Harrison says that they're keeping an eye on Kay. They refuses to let Jane see Kay, ad Harrison says that she can handle Kay and her earnings. However, she doesn't know what to do with Jane. Jane wakes up in her bedroom, and finds Shelley's candy in her pocket. She thoughtfully puts it in her mouth.
Larry puts Paul to bed, and is angry that the Sisterhood involved his son. He promises that he's going to get Paul well again, and nothing is going to come between them. On the back of his neck, the bump glows with energy.
Rita tells a passed-out Laura that she'll handle things, and Laura mutters that she's only known Rita for 48 hours, and knows that Rita isn't a "world-renowned time traveler" as Rita claims, and never will be who Rita is. Rita goes to the time machine, gets in, and leaves.
