So, first of all: I am from Germany. So in my following review could be some grammar mistakes. I apologize for that.
Three years after "House of Cards". Frances Urquhart is now Prime Minister with lot of power. But the new king wants other things than Urquhart... and yes, Frances is not very happy with that.
With the first episode "To play the king" starts great into a new miniseries. The first episode is focused on the new characters and how Frances plays with them. I think we will see much more drama in this miniseries, because Frances is haunted by the past and this shows that even Urquhart is vulnerable. Its a strong, great first episode. And the "direct to camera" moments are so good, interesting and sometimes even funny.
The production values are just great (like "House of Cards"). The actors, the script, the directing. Everything fits perfectly.
I can recommend the show to everyone who likes the first Urquhart- miniseries and i will definitely watch the other episodes.
