this is the way the world ends, not with a bang but with a whimper...

Warning: Spoilers
First, what a job well done by dee bradley baker... his subtle nuances make the characters feel so authentic and truly different. Also, kudos to the writers who made the dialogue of this episode truly heartbreaking. Next, bravo to the kiner brothers for delivering a gut-wrenching score as we watched the devastating fall of kamino... you know what CHEERS to everyone involved with this show. At times it felt a little slow, but it's episodes like these that make it all worth it and that much more rewarding! I don't think i'm emotionally ready for the second part of the finale...

what an end to an era...

A sombre beginning to the finale
sever-100736 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Outside of "Aftermath", this is easily the best the show has ever been. Not only did it bring back AZ-3, but it delved into the complex nature of Crosshair's character and set him up to either remain the antagonist or possibly stay in an antihero role for season 2.

Despite all this, easily the strongest part of this episode its final sequence. The emptiness of Tipoca City is so haunting and the score adds so much weight to the tragic end to an era we are about to witness. What a beautiful send off to one of the most visually stunning locations in the star wars universe and an amazing cliffhanger for the final episode of season one to go from.

We are in the finale now
iubitabubu6 August 2021
This episode is probably the best and makes me excited for The Bad Batch Season 2, not to mention the finale. What I'm about to say isn't a spoiler, but people who watched this episode will understand that the finale has to be longer than usual episodes (at least 35 minutes).

You may fire when ready

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was outstanding. We finally get back to the main story after a few weeks of filler, but the wait was worth it. Seeing The cloning facility on Kamino be destroyed really signifies the rise of the Empire, and it's departure from the Clones. Toto, We aren't on Kamino anymore. Maybe next week a Vader cameo?? Or at the least lemme see my favorite Duro.

It really is the end of an era, huh?
UnrealNorthie6 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is fantastic, but left me feeling a bit sombre. Which actually is a good thing. We all knew the clone wars had come to an end, and the Republic turned Empire. But to see the final blow to this beloved period? It hurts. This episode achieved what it set out to do. And honestly, for someone like me - Who has followed the Clone Wars and it's lore thoroughly - this is one hell of a way to end things off.

Basically, this hits harder than order 66. And I love it.

This episode is a great first part of the finale, makes me wonder what we're going to see in the last episode! The music was absolutely on point and really hits you. Let's hope the 2nd part of the finale is just as good or even better!

Perfection

Warning: Spoilers
I've loved every single episode so far, but this has to be among the top 3.

That Crosshair revelation was intense! Part of me hopes he's lying. Why else would AZI-3 be back, if not to remove his chip in the lab? But part of me wants it to be true, because then there's the potential for some interesting intersections between the BB, regarding their philosophical differences.

Cant wait for the next episode and season 2!

This episode had intensity, great music, some emotions, and an interesting twist. The cinematography and rain effects were excellent. It's definitely a lead-up to the finale. I don't know what's going to happen with the Crosshair situation, but looking forward to it !

9/10.

You tried to kill us.... We didnt have a choice

Warning: Spoilers
Even before the episode starts the title of "return to Kamino" gets me excited, we haven't seen the team here since ep1 of the series.

Scraping out of the ending of the last episode the team are regrouping on Ord Mantell and with Crosshairs playing with the team to try and trap them with Hunters communicator just adds to the layers this series has gotten to. When theres a good start to an episode you know this cannot be a filler!

Seeing the clone wars era ship land back on Kamino and the original Ralph Mcquarrie stormtroopers being used more often in the series is another great nod that Star Wars is using the smallest details that give the fans a great service. Omegas knowledge of Tapoca City is coing into play throughout this episode and maybe even taking the lead role in coming episodes. Switching to the exchanges between Hunter and Crosshairs this highlights the level of changes that the BB has gone through in finding out what the Empire is up to and the level that the chips are changing Crosshair.

A little trip down memory lane for clone force 99/ Omega where there mutations were originally started and this may have also been where Boba was created?

Then the capture of the team and the conversation between all parties involved shows how far the story telling has come since TROS and drip feeding the audience! But the twist i was not expecting to ever see this and in before in this review my words totally match that this was never on the cards. The hatred for regs out ways the chips plans with Crosshairs and trying to convince the team to join the Empire is horrific to see for such a tight knit team previously.

This is the end of the cloning process on Kamino and the total shut down and reassignment of the assets and hearing "you may fire when ready" from Tarkin when trying to destroy the facility is just awesome to hear. Along with the revelations that Crosshair removed his chip a long time ago and its his choice to join the Empire. Part 2 cant come quick enough!

Obscure and Great
weldingr6 August 2021
One of the best episodes not just of the Bad Batch but one of the best of the entire Star Wars franshise. It has everything I like: drama, great dialogue, incredible twist and invites us, the fans, to reflect on the end of an era. The music is great by the way. I hope for a major character in the finale next week.

For those mad about changes from Legends..
chamaxwell6 August 2021
Who says that a clone rebellion has to be on Kamino? That stuff was being built up from the Ryloth episodes, and plotlines we might see in expanded on in S2. Well, on to the episode. Despite being predictable, there were legitimate great moments. The Empire is way more of a threat in this show than they EVER were in Rebels.

We lost the siege of kamino arc in legends for this?
garenteen6 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is not one of the bad ones for season one. However, the whole season built up to the legends storyline for the siege of kamino. There isn't even a massacre of kamino. All the sad music for the supposed death of the bad batch. The day before this episode premiered, Disney renewed the show for a second season. Any tension and creativity is drained from the show.

The End Of An Era

This episode really demonstrates how the Empire rose to power and how the Clones went out of commission. Its super emotional and is very important in STAR WARS lore.

What a fantastic episode !

It hurts how empire erased a special location of a planet which is attached to lore , so many awesome memories from episode 2 & Clone wars happened on it. Plus crosshairs answer to inhibitor chip was baffling. Would have been great if they could have showed us Omega's past while our crew was in the experiment room of Nala se , as in flashbacks .

In conclusion, As usual a story worth telling & knowing .As a fan ,Star wars stories are mostly related to species and connection but this concept came out of a sudden & i quiet enjoyed it. Definite answers are always welcome ,they make convincing ,over the edge stories .

Can't wait for the last episode!!!

Tears on Kamino's Rain
cyserro9 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Exciting, with Crosshair's incredible development, his talk about not being chipped anymore and missing being a member of Bad Batch has redefined all of his actions during the season. Hunter and Omega were also amazing. The art direction and animation were impeccable with the final moments of Tipoca City, not to mention the absurd soundtrack. I was amazed and shocked by the beauty of the episode, and the script is bold to focus only on the protagonists in this episode. It was an incredible start to the season finale.

Return to Kamino
kaden_lewis8 August 2021
This was one of the best episodes of the show so far. I loved the suspense, the action was great, and I love how we got a deeper dive into what is in Kamino like the underwater tunnels The Bad Batch used to get into the facility. Those tunnels led to Nala Se's lab where Omega informed us is where Clone Force 99 (The Bad Batch) were created. We also got to see AZ again, I hope we get to see more of him. Lastly.

This is clearly part 1 of 2 in the finale, and they left so much open, I can't wait to see what happens in next weeks finale!

Kamino Climax
A_Kind_Of_CineMagic25 May 2022
This was the best episode of the series up to this point. A really cracking bit of drama and excitement.

Hunter has been taken by Crosshair and is transported to Kamino, pursued by his comrades who Crosshair hopes will follow and fall into his trap.

The animation is superb and there are some really epic scenes which add meaningfully to the overall Star Wars story. We get dramatic developments which really move the story on from the prequels and into the age of the Empire.

The personal conflicts and character depth in scenes where Crosshair confronts his old friends are powerful too.

Omega has grown as a character and is becoming very engaging. The cliffhanger is pretty gobsmacking and sets up the season finale perfectly.

Great episode.

My rating: 9.5/10.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was deep, not just for the story, but the implications it creates for the Star Wars universe. Seeing the Kamino I grew up watching as a kid be destroyed genuinely made me sad. Excellent story telling and leaves fans with a heavy heart.

You're breaking my heart.

Warning: Spoilers
Now, THIS has to be the best Bad Batch episode we got so far. I am suddenly shocked by Crosshair having his Inhibitor Chip removed. Two parts of what I am thinking about this: 1. I kinda like it because it would be too obvious to make Crosshair bad because of the chip. Letting him make his own choice and still choosing the Empire is a creative idea that Filoni has made, and setting up his complex nature character moments going forward. I do hope he doesn't die in the next part, because god, I love him. 2. The chip somehow has to be inside of his head. Was it because the ion engine to his head probably even made it more attached? Anyway, overall the episode was fun with action-packed scenes like Hunter having a duel with Crosshair.

I do appreciate Filoni continuing the storyline of Kamino like we fans love to speculate what happened to any planets, items, etc after the events of anything. What a goddamn cliffhanger. Frick man, rest in peace Kamino... :(

10/10.
