These comments refer to both parts of this two-episode case not just episode two.
As the second case in the series opens DI Creegan is still questioning the death of the killer in the previous story; he is convinced that it was not a suicide. He, along with the rest of the team, are soon caught up in a new case; somebody has killed three of patients on the Intensive Care Unit of a London Hospital. The only early clue is the discovery of a message written on each of their backs; 'Let Me Go' this leads them to suspect Dr Elizabeth Walker, an advocate of legalising euthanasia. Another early suspect is Carl Burgess, an orderly whose behaviour is distinctly odd. Later on it emerges that the message had been misinterpreted; it had originally said 'Let Me Go Back' investigation into their medical records shows that each of them had at one time or another been clinically dead but resuscitated. Something we learn they share with Creegan; he had a near death experience after being shot and needed to be resuscitated this is a fact the killer appears to know and as the first episode reaches its conclusion he is in real danger.
This was a solid second story; I liked how the events of the first case had not been forgotten as is so often the case in TV murder mysteries. It was also good to learn a bit more about Creegan's back story; most notably that he was shot and seriously injured. I liked the fact that this time there was a variety of suspects during the first episode and that the actual killer is identified at the end of that episode. The killer's motive may be a little far-fetched but it was at least original. On the down side; once again we see a member of the team using a pistol without any explanation of why she is armed. Overall I don't think this was quite as good as the opening case but it was still pretty good.
