I ~had~ to write this while my thoughts are still fresh in my mind having just seen this episode: a skilful mix of crazy, goofy, nonsensical, whimsical comedy - and then throws a complete sucker punch in the last couple of minutes easily strong enough to leave me open-mouthed in shock and welling up with tears. Talented writing and solidly acted as always from the fantastic ensemble principal cast, and a brilliant mechanism to have Carol tying it all together. I'll be thinking about this episode long after the credits have rolled, and it's episodes like this that make this series worth watching.

This has got to be one of my top favorite episodes of the show. It had me crying laughing and also in pain for the characters towards the end. Katie McElhenney has to be one of my favorite writers for this show as everything she writes is pure gold between Dark Quiet Death and this. Absolutely so good.

Community & Sunny are my favorite comedies EVER. So when I found out that the minds from these shows are combining forces to make a new show, I knew I have to watch that. Two seasons in and MQ never disappoints. This particular episode highlights all of the pairings this season and I love how we finally got to understand each character's strengths and flaws. That's pretty impressive for a show that is only on its 2nd season. And you know a bottle episode will always be pure chaos and comedy.

The way this show flows between hilarious and sad is unbelievable. I feel as though the characters have developed so much over the past few episodes but it's also difficult to tell where they will end up.

Suddenly, Mythic Quest turned into a really great comedy! The writing and the comedy acting - timing, expressions, physical comedy - all were excellent. The negative reviews here complain that it was not about video games. That's the point: even at a video game company, real, mundane life intrudes and you have ridiculous performance evaluations to deal with and conflicts over trivial nonsense.
I used IMDB to find the details of this episode just so that I could discover who wrote it. So now I'll go back and re-watch "A Dark Quiet Death", also written by Katie McElhenney, and I look forward to "Backstory!" tomorrow!

The writers sitting on comedy gold with F. Murray staring you in the face and you crank out this episode. Was there some writer bangin on the table to do away with comedy, video games, amazing characters...just to devote an entire episode to office administrative bureaucracy? Yeah, that'll be funny. This has been the most underwhelming episode of all so far. Season one had such a richer story focused on creativity and dreams, teamwork.
Season two has no storyline, and has absolutely nothing to do with videogames.
