Michael Jackson: What Really Happened
jboothmillard10 August 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I had seen quite a few adverts for these documentaries, but this was the first to focus on a subject, or rather celebrity, that I was interested in. Jacques Peretti directs, writes and stars in this programme focusing on Michael Jackson, two years after his trial was ended, and he was cleared of all charges concerning child abuse and paedophilia. His fans of course applauded and were relieved by this, but there are still the sceptics who question whether this was the right thing to happen. So with some archive footage and interviews, Peretti finds out more about the accusations, events before and after the trial, to find the answer to the title question, if any. Good!

Disgusting false media witch hunt
toonosey7 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
I just partially watched this movie. I stopped it when that Diane "lying leech" Diamond came on. This movie is nothing but more media generated smear against the King of Pop. It is full of lies and speculative crap. The only persons that would enjoy this are trolls, haters, and degenerates.

Don't waste your time or money on this appalling excuse for a movie. Michael Jackson was an innocent and all too trusting person. It's disgusting how people took such huge advantage of that innocence. I am so angry at the moment I could throw up. RIP musical genius MJ. The greatest and most humanitarian artiste ever.

Biased and untrue

This is not a documentary, it is rather a very biased account, with many preposterous claims.

While some people who do not fully know or understand the background to MJ, this may persuade them that MJ is a bad person. But for those who know, these claims and the way they are presented are just truly ridiculous.

The interviews have been edited, and statements taken so out of context its beyond a joke. Shame on you!

I do not recommend it, but watch it if you please, and you will see what I mean.

Shameful and biased documentary
jonsnow-8052024 October 2018
Pathetic documentary made by actual proven criminals who have made a living for decades making fun or talking bad about Michael Jackson in Tabloid gossips.

They try so hard to show him in a bad light with not even a single evidence to back anything up. They take statements and so on out of context, which is a very disgusting a low thing to do.

The people involved in this should be ashamed of themselves. The length people go for money, even if it means slandering an proven innocent man. What a joke.

Witch hunt on Michael Jackson
channa-lampell15 May 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This film is made just for the value of sensation.

There is something called criticism of the sources, and it is very important to have this in mind when watching this movie. None of the people interviewed in this movie is on Michael Jacksons side, it is just the people that wanted to bring him down that gets to say anything about the subject. So we really just gets to hear one side of the story. The main interviewee has stalked MJ, trying to bring him down for many years, and this is the person they get most of their information from? This is not good journalism.

It is a series of accusations and assumptions, none of which can really be verified. This has not made me change my opinion about MJ, and i don't think that it should for anyone. Michael Jackson was a weird man with his own issues, but that does not make him guilty. Of course people would want to take advantage of his childish nature to earn some money, this is something to take in consideration when watching the movie.

On top of it all some of the info is just inaccurate. A pathetic documentary...
