In Taisho period Japan where women are seen as only good for housework, nine students at an all-girls high school learn how to play baseball to prove that they can compete with the boys.
When a local player arrogantly states that girls should become housewives instead of going to school, teenage firebrands Koume and Akiko respond by forming their own baseball team. It's shocking.
