Teen's first love in beautiful's Cartagena de Indias locations
jadapespa8 April 2011
Juan Pablo Bustamante's opera prima brings to Colombian up scaling cinema a fresh air. Superb cinematography, good sound and editing, even better credits and music, a bunch of well known colombian actors like Cristina Umaña, Catalina Londoño,Laura García and Salvo Basile, the marvelous Barbaro Marín from Cuba (El cuerno de la Abundancia) and the natural young actors capture your attention on a sweet and funny original story, plenty of humorous moments that reflects all the caribbean spirit. The stars of the movie are Cartagena de Indias and the eyes of debuting Vanessa Galvis (the camera loved the gorgeous young actress). It's a movie to enjoy without thinking too much.

Loved it!

Loved the story! Loved the cinematography! Loved the art direction! Loved the city where the movie was shot! Loved the boy, the lead actor! Is simple: I loved the movie!

It's very refreshing for Colombia's big screen to have this type of films with new proposals, new ideas, new stories.

Maybe it was just me, but I was tired of the guerrilla-drug-violence plot coming over and over again to every single movie shot by colombian directors. But I have to make myself clear: that's is not the only good thing of the film, it has a very original story, a very well put direction, beautiful colors, great locations, gorgeous actors... The only way to understand my infatuation with 'Lecciones para un Beso', is by watching it!
