A very strong penultimate episode.

Chris is sinking further and further down, it seems the only support is Rachel, but she's still unsure about him.

Once again, this was particularly good, some real intensity here, the story is quite compelling, the acting is superb.

I like that we learn a little about the Chris and Ray situation, I think there's still a little more to come from that.

Shocking events throughout, I cannot wait to see how this is going to end for Chris, I can't help but wonder if they're going to leave the door open for a second series.

I am intrigued to learn who exactly is the one at the top pulling the strings, I'm not sure all is as it seems, I wish I knew who was on the other end of the phone.

I'm expecting a twist in the end, they've certainly set it up well, 8/10.

Too slow

This is a well acted drama with mostly believable characters; but the Plot is just way too slow; grindingly slow. And in some cases: plain unbelievable. It's a shame. This could have been top notch.

Episode 4

There was a nice moment when Chris Carson stops a drunk driver driving very erratically. The driver is Catholic priest Father Liam Neeson and he is wearing no pants.

The desperation of Father Neeson chimes with Chris. Stuck in a job where he is losing faith and cannot differentiate between right and wrong.

The writing reminded me of The Boys from the Blackstuff.

It is just a shame that the series could not always maintain such heights.

I also liked Rachel taking down Mullen who also turned out to be pathetic as Chris can be.

Most of the characters just seem to be desperate and shallow. Even the family GP made a basic error.

I am intrigued to find out just who is in control, even the doctor has to report to someone else. It's not the Health Secretary.
