Thank you the owl house, for everything
jpilot289 April 2023
Well, I can't quite believe it's really over. The owl house truly surpasses what it means to be a great tv show, it's simply one of the most revolutionary and game changing shows ever made, and one of the most personal and meaningful as well. When this ended I sat there in a bit of shock and cried for a while just to take in the fact that it's ended in such a beautiful way. The owl house is a love letter to serialised animated storytelling and its end is really the end of an era. The amount of care put into this show especially under the conditions it was created in is extraordinary, I hope someday there'll be another show like this. Thank you Dana and the crew, you've changed so many lives for the better.

A roller coaster of adventure.

Warning: Spoilers
It was similar to Amphibia, and I loved every second of it.

Even though we were robbed for third season, I still cannot believe how much effort they put into that one cartoon.

Even though that it has officially concluded that story, it was one of the best shows on Disney so far, Almost to the point where I was about to break down and at the end I applauded like in a movie theater.

I had my fingers crossed for her to say "Now eat this sucka!" I started in 2021 and it was pretty fine, and I'm glad I stuck through with it and had the opportunity to watch it as a whole.

I bid creators like these good luck, and for this show, BYE!!

The Journey was Wonderful
jirobins9 April 2023
I am still processing my feelings, but all I know is that this TV show is truly special and deserves its place among the great animated cartoons we've seen the past 30 years. Although it was cut short, what Dana and her crew did was nothing short of a miracle. I didn't cry, but I felt a sense of pride in how all the loose ends and story threads were tied together in 3 episodes, and how well the story portrayed the struggles and feelings these characters go through.

I would especially like to focus on how genius Luz as a protagonist is. Never has a character been more relatable, more fun, or more endearing to watch than her. And the catharsis and realizations she reaches in this and the previous two episodes just shows how much she's matured in the short time we've seen her within this series.

To wrap it up, thank you Owl House, for showing us a side of children's cartoons, or cartoons in general that needs to be explored more. We need to show kids how to overcome hardship, teach them lessons through experiences and not words, and most importantly, show them that it's okay for a person to be themselves. We're all weirdos in our own way and if we accept others around us for who they are, who they love, and especially for their own mistakes and faults we will be all the better for it.

Thank you Dana Terrace, for fighting for this show to exist and for showing it to us in the short time wr had. BYYYYYEEEE.

Voilently sobbed, crying, shaking, dieing. 10/10 would watch again. Fr though the animation was absolutely gorgeous. For the show getting cut short they managed to make a beautiful ending to the show on such short notice. I applaud them for that. Not to mention the end credits were such a nice little touch and I absolutely adored the music of it all. It added so much more emotional impact. It was just such a amazing way to end the show! The visuals were again stunning. Its just wow. Beautiful episode absolutely showstopping. One of the best finales ive seen. All I wonder is what the show couldve been if the show wasnt canceled by disney. Please watch this episode!! Prove to disney that shows like this are loved and cherished!!

Phenomenal Ending to a Wonderful Dream
zactac9 April 2023
After three years full of painstakingly heartfelt/heartbreaking moments and heaps of hilarious moments to ease the sting... it's over. The Owl House has officially ended and it feels like waking up from the most marvelous dream.

The entire team put their entire beings into this episode and it shows from the opening SECONDS! Not a moment was wasted. Of course I could go on my soapbox about how Disney really messed up in shortening this season but we already know that. Instead of focusing on that for the hundredth time I want to bask in how wonderful this ending was along with the journey that got us here.

Every moment was earned. The animation was the best the show ever produced (and that's saying something). And even though everything wasn't answered it doesn't actually matter that much. The crew knew the characters are what make the Boiling Isles special and by focusing on them we get an ending that is truly magical.

I will definitely be watching this episode over and over again with each subsequent watch making me cry. Because above all else, despite the hurdles they had to overcome, they created a show that was unabashedly queer. To show queer joy in full-bloom is a wondrous thing, especially with how hard reality is right now.

The Owl House is all about finding hope in the bleakest of times. It provided comfort for those who needed it most. It inspires us to imagine a better world where that hope has flourished. This show truly was a beautiful dream that imagines a better reality. That alone is worth celebrating... BUT DISNEY REALLY DID SCREW UP WE BETTER GET SPIN-OFFS OKAY BYEEEEEEEE!!!!!

One of the Best Finales in Modern Television
megatiger10 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was the ultimate climax of the past three years of work by the TOH Crew and it shows both in the story told to the quality of the visuals and the small references and easter eggs.

The story of Luz's final confrontation of her insecurities in the dream world created by the collector was a great way to start the episode as it followed off right where the previous one ended thematically. I will avoid ranting about the rest of the episode but to put it lightly it only grows more from there.

The character designs as always were some of the best I've seen and the ending both before and after the credits really shows this in my opinion.

Despite how undercut it was by Disney and it's refusal to give the show it's rightful time this finale still manages to remain satisfying concluding many of the remaining plot points and answering several questions even one we didn't think we'd get the answers to.

Overall Watching and Dreaming is a pinnacle conclusion for it's circumstances and caps of both the stories and themes from the show as a whole. This whole being an stand out piece as the show managed to stand out as one of the best and to some final series in the serialized renaissance of animation and cartoons from 2012 to the finale's premiere.

As a final note I'd like to thank Dana and the rest of the people who worked on this show as regardless of how you stand on it, it was undeniably kept short yet they persisted in telling the story they wanted to tell and made some of the biggest leaps in representation in not just animation but media as a whole. This show has changed many people including me, and it allowed a community of people from many backgrounds to form to adore and support the show, it's characters and it's creators. There will never ever be something like this show ever again and that's ok, but this is a show that will live well beyond it's ending and it's my belief that it'll be a pillar of inspiration for the next generation of creators animation or not. To reiterate it one last time thank you Owl House and thank you crew.

This show ended too soon:(
aidenmmunoz27 July 2023
Before this, I have some thoughts before even watching the owl house. I didn't know if I was going to like the owl house. I thought for a second that it was going to be an OK show. But man was I wrong. The Owl house was one of the best shows I've ever seen in awhile I had so many great things, beautiful Animation, Great LGBTQ represestation and overall an entertaining story. There is so much that could have happened for season 3 But disney said that and I quote " the owl house did not fit the disney brand". This really sucks, and because of that, the our house was cut short to only three episodes. Although the third season was good there was so much Stuff that was missing. Watching and dreaming is one of the Best endings to a show I have ever seen. The final Battle had Beautiful animation. And the ending really make me sad. But I was happy that the characters got the ending they deserved. But one thing I do remember is that there were quite a few unanswered questions. But the creator said that she would love to make a spin off In the future. There's so much more To explore in the our house and I hope the show gets more Attention. 100/10 ending.

Lumity 4 life!!!

One of the best endings of a show. With a lot of weight and emotions. It was a big thank you to the fans of the show and everyone who followed this incredible journey. We will miss our weekends and will be forever remembered. Gathering all the ends they had and filling in very well what needs to be filled in. Impeccably written and directed, the team did really well. I've followed since launch and I'm honored to have been part of this amazing fandom, amazing show, amazing people. It certainly won a space in everyone's hearts for these 3 years of emotions. To everyone who watched, worked and supported this work, I want to express my deepest thanks. This cartoon made me happy and look at the world in a different way. After all, weirdos need to stick together.

Must watch
ondranyrsko9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is by me the perfect ending to almost perfect show. It is a good ending, but it doesn't just jump over obstacles and most ends are satisfyingly tied together. Belos actually was a threat, they did not just make a new villain. I can just imagine different show just making up a bigger threat at the last minute to give the protagonist some stakes. Instead, Danna chose to work with what she already made. The like that magic comes form the hart being in the trailer sounded very important, but I honestly wouldn't expect Belos to take it over. And Collector? Making him the confused kid who doesn't know what to be just fits him and the backstory he told us. It was obvious he was neglected, but this just made me empathize with him even more. It makes sense he would do all that. He was still just a kid who didn't know what his actions could cause. The Titan was also a good. He has the Bad girl coven shirt, symbolizing that he supports wild magic, and Belos was really just making that up. Also I like the cool shot when he transform into his giant form and we see him from under. The was Beloses castle was handled was also good. Boiling isles didn't have a higher education, and Luz bringing this concept to them is very good choice.

Most importantly though, the final scene, where we see Owlbert flying thru the isles, Showing us how the world changed and it brought me tears when I saw everyone making Luz a B-Day party and how Collector finally grew up and made the firework show for everyone.

If you didn't watch this show and read this far, go, watch it and make this rating the way it is meant to be. 10/10 I honesty don't know how could you make a better ending for a show.

Somehow, even better finale than Wierdmaggedon 3 in Gravity falls.
mayczal9 April 2023
I don't even know what what to say. I can't even say a single thing wrong about it. Totally unexpected plot. Gorgeous animation, incredibly emotional, and wholesome ending. Dana terrace, just like Alex Hirsch saved the best for last.

The Owl house started as pretty good successor to gravity falls, and up, as the series (in my opinion) even better than Gravity Falls, with a lot creativity, individuality and most important: Gayness.

My only issue?

Too little lumity, but that's an issue of whole Season 3, so nevermind that.

Overall, it's the best finale, of the best animated show I have ever seen. (I've seen a lot of cartoons)

A beautiful way to send off the series
braydongeorgeson9 April 2023
It's incredible to see how well the creators managed with the time cuts, it feels like such a perfect ending and I loved every second of it. The fact that this one was just that little bit longer than all the others really helped with being able to really tell the story, It's difficult to write a review without spoilers but if this is your first time hearing about the show, please go and watch it on Disney+ and you'll definitely not regret it, the first half of season one has a few rough corners but once the story picks up it becomes absolutely incredible back to back to back, so for the sake of yourself. Watch and dream.

A messy conclusion with a lot of heart
thefoochie9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's hard to criticize a finale like this because of cancellation issues, just like the sense8 finale, so I will be nice. Dana Terrace did the best that she could given how she had to wrap everything up in 3 episodes. With that being said, I can't ignore some of the glaring issues the final episode had.

Because the whole story had to be concluded so quickly, there was little time for character interactions. There was a noticeable lack of hunter, willow, Gus and amity. Like I know you had to wrap up the story but come on... it would've been cool to see more of them.

The plot itself was fine, albeit predictable. I liked the collector's redemption arc. Bro just wanted someone to play with lol, that's it. Some of his moments actually got me emotional I'm ngl. I'm glad he wasn't the main villain of the episode and instead it was Belos. Speaking of him... he had a good amount of screentime, but too little dialogue. He was kind of reduced to the standard "big bad" and there wasn't really any personality left in him. Although I did really like his last bit of dialogue where he tells luz "you're not like them," it gives us one final look at his prejudices against witches.

Luz's fakeout death was still pretty sad despite her obviously being alive. I'm honestly surprised to say this but I'm fine with the way they brought her back. Usually I absolutely hate fakeout deaths in tv shows but I quite liked this. She got to meet king's dad and he was able to finally send a message to king.

After Belos' defeat I was feeling a bit underwhelmed, but I will say those last 10-15 minutes made up for it, and made me remember what I love about this show. I'm glad we got a happy ending cause those final moments were just heartwarming. You can really tell how much Dana and the creators love and care about their show. Although I'm disappointed, I'm just happy I left the show with a smile on my face. Thanks for everything.

It was good, but too messy
MEMESARESOCOOL11 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest the finale wasnt very cohesive, and there were sudden events coming, it was honestly very overwhelming and rushed in my opinion. But the animation was great. To be honest i felt a lack of originality, as amphibia's finale followed the same premise, anne sacrifices herself, and so does luz. Its honestly kinda crazy to see how alike they are, i mean both of them disintegrate into light! I think, in the owl house's standards, it was a good way to end it. I just thought that everything was all over the place, and i kinda cringed at some parts too :'). The only thing i absolutely adored was the collectors backstory AND THE COLLECTOR OVERALL HES SO CUTE!!! Also i liked how huntlow became canon lol. It was a great show, but the ending was kiindaaa.... meh. Great animation tho :D.

A great final
tonyrolyaccilioaguirre12 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The ending was just spectacular every time I watch it I can't stop thinking about how good this was like the fluidity of the animation, the soundtrack was just timely, the collector was great comic relief in all his interactions like when he wanted it to belos becomes good, what I am not going to deny is that the ending was predictable and unpredictable at the same time.

The references that there were to other programs and likewise was what I liked the most, among which are that of Raine's whistling with the melody of Eda's Requiem, the cry of light when taking off from the heart of the titan that refers to his first episode, the collector holding the entire file cabinet that pays homage to the scene of spiderman holding the train and lastly the blue hunter palisman that refers to mordecai from "another show. There were many more references but these are the most obvious.

Dana being on the show was great as were other team members 👌

One of the greatest finales of all time, despite some pacing issues
Agent_Man429 April 2023
First off, i want to say i am most probably biased, im neurodiverse and the nd characters in this show (Luz, Hunter, Gus, Vee, and others), just spoke to me on such a deep level, quite possibly a deeper level than any other media ever will.

Anyways, this finale did such a great job under such terrible circumstances (a full 14 episodes being cut causing them to have to do some truly drastic rewrites), Character arcs come to beautiful conclusions (especially Luz) and Belos once again proves himself as the best villain in Disneys repertoire, even beating out Darth Sidious, Bill Cipher, Darth Vader, Doofenshmirtz, Darth Maul, Scar, Darth Sion, pretty much every Darth. Also he legitimately has one of the funniest scenes ive ever seen in this episode, funnier than THAT Mermista line from She Ra.

Now, there is a problem in the finale that both isnt too important, and i just don't think its fair to hold them accountable for, and that's the 12 minute montage at the end. Owl House was an extremely ambitious show, and there is no way it all ever could be perfectly wrapped up in 3 hour long specials. Not like any of the stuff in it is bad, just certain scenes (regarding Amity and Vee especially) needed 2 minutes to themselves at least.

And that is pretty much all i can say without spoiling some transcendent TV, all i have left to say (though this is subjective), is if this finale had 10-15 more minutes it'd have a good chance of beating out Star Wars: The Clone Wars for the best Finale of all time

Actually one more thing, if you are also mad about the missed potential, then they tease a spinoff multiple times in the episode. Good chance nothing comes of it, but if it does you better be there day 1 random viewer.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow. What a finale. I really don't know where to begin besides the fact that this may be one of the best finales of an animated show ever. There was similarities with Amphibia on the sacrifice and becoming all powerful, but I enjoyed the fact that the owl house did it differently. I believe this was the best way they couldve ended it. I loved the collectors innocence and how ultimately good is needed but the world isnt as simple as good and bad. Its complex. The collector could only see one and Luz's near death was the sacrifice. This gave the collector more depth and the realization that he needed to learn more. I am glad the collector came around. I the death scene of Luz although would not be permanent and the audience would know this, felt very costly. Although you knew Luz would not die, there was still a sense of gravity of the situation. Belos was an irredeemable monster as he should have been. I am so sad the show got cut short because I would have loved to have had an episode of Belos turning slowly into the insane madman he was. Luz gaining the titan powers was pure hype. The animation was so smooth, energetic, lively and on and on and on. The fight animation was literal eye candy. I was so happy that Luz was able to keep both earth and the demon realm home. Lumity was present and ever so adorable and hunter x willow was great. The reunite of everyone really was special. The time jump at the very end was bittersweet. It was so cool to see everyone doing well and the relationships staying stronger than ever. However, it reminded me that wow this show is actually over. When they all said bye it was such a sad ending. I am happy that we got the owl house. Happy that we got lumity and more representation from this show. Happy from the great story this show gave even when it was cut short. I am sad the owl house ended but happy it happened.

The best show of the decade so far comes to a close.
bluemlittlem9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is it. The end of an 11 Year Era of Serial Disney Animation.

Gravity Falls, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil, Ducktales, Amphibia, and now... The Owl House.

Personally, this is my favourite show of the 2020s and my favourite Disney TV Show of all time. And this finale reinforced it. I don't think I have been more elated, devastated, and thrown around as much as during "Watching and Dreaming".

To start, The Collector's redemption. The collector isn't a bad guy, more of a product of the people around him, so I'm glad that they forgive him in this episode. Some People say that this scene was rushed, but as I've said before, when put under the circumstances this show had, I don't mind it all.

Another thing I want to point out is how they mainly focused on the main 3 protagonists in this episode. I really didn't mind it at all. Everyone else at this point had mostly finished their character arcs, so they could focus on this finale being as epic as possible instead. We do still have plenty of fun character moments in the epilogue, which I loved quite a lot.

Now for the good stuff. Belos Possesses the titan after being told that titans are all powerful, and the Collector tries to use his newfound knowlege and tries to hug it out. This leads to Luz sacrificing herself for The Collector. Yes, she actually dies. I couldn't believe it. Of all the parallels between this show and Amphibia, I DID NOT expect this to happen.

Another Parallel I didn't expect to happen was Luz to get magical anime powers.

TITAN LUZ IS CANON!!! And It didn't even mess Luz's thing about not being the chosen one!!!

And that brings us to the best part of the episode, Luz, Eda and King vs. Titan Belos.

Personally, this might be my favourite animated fight scene of all time. It gave me a burst of joy I have never felt before. Luz coming full circle shouting "EAT THIS SUCKAAAA" at belos is the best thing ever.

And following that, Belos's Death is extremely satisfying. It's so cathartic to see him pleading to Luz at his weakest, while Luz is having none of it.

Overall, this is the golden standard in how to make a series finale under limited time. It puts something like "Ceaved" to shame.

If I could rate this an 11/10 I would. Go watch this if you haven't already!

Warning: Spoilers
The Owl House now joins Gravity Falls and Amphibia as Disney Channel shows to have a flawless series finale. This finale primarily focuses on the trio that started it all. As said by Dana Terrace: "a tiny king, an outcast witch, and a hopeful human".

Everything came together very well. The trio's reunion was very emotional, The Collector's character arc in this finale was great, the defeat of Belos was insanely epic and featured callbacks to the very first scene of the series, and of course the time skip epilogue was incredible.

Those are just a few highlights of this action-packed and heartfelt one-hour finale. Thank you, The Owl House for an incredible three years.

That was literally a perfect goodbye episode for me. What an incredible show!! I will miss it truly..

The journey of these 3 years even with all the obstacles; like Disney shortening the final season, didn't stop Dana and the crew on giving this magnificent show an spectacular ending.

I have no ideal words to describe the amount of emotions I got through watching the episode. The Eda, King and Luz reunion finally!, the innocence of The Collector (and finally they understanding their actions), Luz still being amazing and trying to help him see the problem!. And Belos finally being defeated? (hooray!).

And that timeskip! That beautiful and emotional time skip! Love it!

So yeah this is definitely an episode. Seeing a lot of people saying they cried to it but i didn't cause yknow IM JUST BUILT LIKE THAT RAHH. But anyways yeah the finale was way better than i expected. Thought that they were gonna pull a svtfoe on us but it was actually a very satisfying ending. Liked how she wasnt stranded back home and was actually able to travel between worlds unlike amphibia, L. One thing I didnt like about the episode is that eda and raine didnt vigorously make out but other than that this was surely one of the pieces of media ive ever seen. Also mordecai palisman wooooooo.

Warning: Spoilers
Overall it was literally amazing, the animation was beautiful and there were multiple call backs to previous episodes. Glad I rewatched the whole show before the episode. This could be because I just watched it but it was so fast that I don't know if its normal that I feel kind of annoyed that the finale went like that, similar to its sister show it had parts you expected but also parts you wouldn't have ever thought of. I knew the ending was going to be something like that but lord did I not know she was going to come back from the dead looking so different it kind of felt like a fever dream.

the ending the show deserved
E-VE9 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's amazing how the show has matured from its first episodes to its last, from a colorful children's comedy to a journey of sacrifice and loss, I confess to being saddened by the end of this series but I think Dana got what she wanted even with only 3 episodes to go count an entire arc.

For us to understand the collector's true motivations, the suspense brought in the first scenes, beauties bringing more chaos to Bolling Island, and when we thought it was the end, Luz, Eda and King becoming stronger and Collector helping the other characters, thus defeating Belos, Luz no longer able to use her glyphs, but becoming the great hero she always dreamed of being.

The characters growing up and living their normal lives, Luz returning to the human world and going to college but visiting her old friends, with the support of Vee, her palisman and Camila, Amity and Luz still maintaining their relationship, Hunter and Willow, Raine and Eda, Gus, Amity's father, Lillith and Hooty, Collector going back to the stars, King with new powers, and it all ends with a big celebration for Luz, and the characters that we've seen so much saying "bye", is to make any fan emotional and proud.

A beautiful ending to a spectacular show
bm23019918 June 2023
I cannot stress enough how much I love this show! This show is up there with the greats such as Avatar the Last Airbender and Shera and Princess of Power and the final episode was no different. This show was a masterclass in diversity and inclusion and watching it just made me feel healed and seen. This show should be the blueprint for all "children's" shows because so much love and care was put into the characters and the message is so beautiful. I want to thank all the writers, cast, crew and everyone who helped bring this beautiful masterpiece to life. Disney, take notes. You need more shows like this.

An excellent final episode to The Owl House that wraps everything up very nicely. I wasn't here for the entire ride, but I was here long enough to become invested in these characters and storylines, and this finale was so so captivating and satisfying. The Owl House is easily one of the best things to happen to Disney Channel in recent years, and it's great to see it get the no-holds-barred, firing-off-on-all-cylinders ending that it rightfully deserves. Thank you, Dana Terrace, and everyone else who played a part in the creation of this wonderful show. Now it's time to go back and watch the series over again from the very beginning so this can have all the more impact.
