Loved both seasons and all the episodes have been very good including this one. The pace has been high rich with content and plot development, but this one seems to have pushed the pedal to the metal - so much crammed in. Feels like it was meant to be 10 episodes like season one but cut so the last three have been mashed into this one. Still enjoyed it but it would have been better spread - this is rare for me, my usual complaint is about padding and lack of content!

Good but not Fair

7 episodes really?

Man I remember not so long ago when shows were pulling 25 episode seasons..now we can't even get 8 which is such a shame because this show is hilarious. Its very well written as well but could have really used an extra 3 episodes for more character driven episodes. Still a great season and laughed alot.
Was WAITING for Season 2, and it DELIVERED

I agree, it felt truncaterd at only 7 episodes. And am I the only one who wondered how Ingrid got from visiting Nathan's body in LA to back in NY to LA again? But there were such wickedly sly gags (David Choak eating only endangered fowl, for one) and even the cloned help got some personality and special scenes.
We're rooting for Nathan and Nora to get together, and they do. The episode ends with plenty to look forward to in Season 3.

Season Two Review

Generally, I liked the first season of "Upload" but wouldn't say that I loved it. It was, for me, a funny sitcom weighed down by a plot that acted more like an anchor than a framework. Though I came back for season two, I feel like the priorities within the show have gotten even further unbalanced.
Nathan (Robbie Amell) and Ingrid (Allegra Edwards) now live together in Lakeview, with Nathan under the impression that Ingrid has died and unaware that she is faking it, using a haptic suit. Nora (Andy Allo) has taken a leave of absence and has been drawn, by her father into world of the Ludds. She begins a relationship with Matteo (Paulo Costanzo) one of the leaders of the group.
I want to stress, before I get to the criticism, that I really didn't hate this. I still like the chemistry between Amell and Allo and generally the show is too amiable and good natured to make me actively dislike it.
But it's not funny enough, with this season providing even fewer laughs than the first. I really do feel that is because it's beholden to this plot structure that is constantly getting in the way and that is leaned into even heavier in this second run. With the story expanding from just being about who killed Nathan, to being more about political corruption and a detour to live with the Luddites that's abandoned as soon as it's started. I don't care about any of that. I care about the central couple; I even care about Ingrid as Allegra Edwards has done such an excellent job of explaining why the character is the way she is. Tell me about those with some jokes about the Internet and bring the Nathan and Nora slowly together, that's all I'm after.
I mean, I'm going to watch season three, I can tell you that now, but it's more out of grudging completionism rather than any genuine admiration.

Original and funny

In todays TV and film industry it seems as if everything as been done, but this show has been able to keep it original and fresh (from my knowledge anyway). Also, if you don't think Luke is one of the best darn characters ever written in any TV show then you are soulless. I can put my hand on my heart say I have laughed out loud and every single scene he is in. Fantastic show and stories and characters.
Loved the finale

While I didn't care for much of this season, I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Although Ingrid has been up and down as a character, she really shines in emotional moments and has had most of my favorite moments from the whole series. Her line, "all I ever wanted was for you to look at me the way you look at her" really got to me. It's a tough feeling trying as hard as you can to get someone to love you and it doesn't work and she portrayed that perfectly.
Didn't like the ending.

I felt like it was cut short. Did the show get cancelled before the end of the season?
Why aren't there any other episodes after this last episode? It ended without us finding out what happened to Nathan and everyone else in the show.
Spoiler: Also, why didn't Nora inform her employer and co-workers that Nathan was going to download so that they wouldn't wonder what happened to him?
Did Nathan end up dying or did he end up getting put back into upload?

Too many plot holes
e-tadeu13 April 2022
Season 1 was nice, but season 2 felt extremely rushed and uninspired. I don't know if they changed writers, but it feels like the story was put out very carelessly, with lots of plot holes and with shallow characters. A lot of the jokes were forced, too.

Wohooooooooooooooo ! More childish humor, woke culture, and ... nothing about the plot of the actual series. Great! Just great... I wouldn't watch even a minute more, even that was too much. They hit a new low. I wish I stopped at the end of the first season, which was great. At least the acting isn't that bad... all the time... and except for the multiple cringe moments.... So many good shows cancelled , but ones like this keep going?!? I really can't wrap my head around that... I regret even starting watching this season, but I was still hopeful, and was saying to myself that the next episode will be somewhat better at least, but none never were any better. So much potential, so little actually done with it.
