The entire first episode revolves around Robert Maxwell, and seemingly attempting to come up with an excuse for Ghislaine's behavior. The entire episode talks about how harsh her father was, and how much she was spoiled by both of her parents even though she had to "always please her father". There are numerous instances of the documentary seemingly attempting to use this as an excuse for her future behavior when it comes to Epstein and make her out to be innocent.
