Keep the action going

"Legend of the Seeker" offers another cheesy, fun episode.

The group (now of four after Cara has been added to the mix) travels to a camp. Objective: get an abbot free from the hands of the remnants of Lord Rahl's army. Will they find the abbot? Will they get the information to find the Stone? What about Richard? Will he shave?

The episode does a good job in developing the plot and bringing some interesting moments. It offers some surprises and actually it is not very predictable. The action is nicely done, and the acting offers a good level (of course, over-the-top and silly is part of what this kind of shows offer). It is fun and keeps the watcher engaged.

On the other hand it is a little bit ridiculous. There are a couple of decisions characters take that don't make much sense, and there is a very strange one that is a little bit worrying (in the ethics department; and yes, that is taking into account we are talking about war and killing and violence). And the idea of the banelings is a little bit silly: people that come back to keep killing for the Keeper so they can keep being alive (all the dead just seem to go to the same place of pain and suffering) is not precisely the best ever (the Keeper could have thousands on the loose pretty soon; even though the show tries to give a reason why the world is not rife with murderous undead).

All in all, the episode is a good one, and keeps things going.
