Principle photography was completed in only 6 days with a budget of less than $1200.00, with only two primary, full-time crew members - cinematographer Christopher Zampas on camera, and director Alex Cassun handling audio.
Nearly all the dialogue in the film was improvised by the actors.
The actors had very limited knowledge of what would take place in each scene, with Alex Cassun giving them rough instructions about a half an hour before the camera was ready to role.
Emma's house in the movie is also featured in Alex Cassun's first feature film, Sunset in the Valley.
Alex Cassun, Nathan Ballard and Christopher Zampas lived in the same apartment at the time the movie was made, and the idea for the movie came up after watching several Mumblecore movies, "Luke and Brie Are on a First Date", which was co-produced by Tara Everhart, who would later be cast as Danielle in "I'm On Fire".
