Some more good stuff in this one. A lot of conversations and insight and excellent delivery from the cast. Marsali delivered as did Malva, and Tom and Claire peeled a few more layers off the onion without giving anything away. He still feels dangerous.

Even so not much happened but it feels like it was an episode of set up for what is to come.

The best episode so far!!!
Chartreuse122 March 2022
This episode was fast moving and packed a wallop primarily centering around Fergus and Marsali. Both actors did an incredible job and the end of the episode was just heartbreaking the way Jamie talked to Fergus and consoled him. More Outlander episodes like this one, please!!!

I enjoy outlander enough, however they should already being showing...

Warning: Spoilers
American Patriots of that time.

That's what I thought they do when Jamie and Claire arrived in Georgia on the Beach.

George Washington was great, but lets communicate with the cool people shall we. LOL

My two cents, I wish they would show a person that believed in God as a normal person. I'm looking at it as he's in a cult, because good Christians that love the Lord don't do that. They won't comprise on their beliefs, and that's fine too, but their not gonna be beaters of their children or against everything that's remotely a gray issue.

I like Rogers character. He was slow going when he came to the 18th century because of the rape situation, he was under a lot of stress so I feel like that can change a person very quickly. He's getting back to what he was before he left 1969. Yay!

I lie Brianna a lot better too...

Feeling sorry for Claire though, poor thing not being able to confide with Jamie. I hope that don't come back to haunt her.

There is a lot going on! Amazing!

Warning: Spoilers
What an amazing episode! There was a lot going on in this episode, it's all about to be an amazing season. The teases for the impending war, Fergus and Marsali the highlights of this episode (with outstanding performances), Roger finding his place at the Ridge, Ian and Malva with their respective mysterious pasts and the whole story that revolves around Tom, Claire and Jamie together is amazing. Yes, I can admit that the whole series has really changed since the first season. It changes. His evolution. It would be boring if it had stayed the same, it can't. And I honestly think that's what makes Outlander such an amazing series: the ability to evolve without losing its appeal.

Fantastic Series.

Season 6 is continuing as it started, just plain BRILLIANT! Maybe not as much intimacy as some fans seem to crave but in every scene the acting by everyone is beyond superb. Sam, Mark, Cesar and Lauren knocked it out of the ball park. So much for book readers and non readers to love.

Fergus and Marsali are so real
tsa_carter21 March 2022
Every scene with Fergus and Marsali is so raw and real and relatable. Fergus"s pain is so evident (and relatable to someone that has not been able to protect a loved one from harm). The actress that plays Marsali is outstanding as a wife just trying to hold on to her family, and protect her husband from himself and his dark thoughts. I can relate to this storyline and it is heart wrenching in its authenticity.

Outlander continues to deliver

Warning: Spoilers
I'm loving this season! As this episode opens with an iconic moment from the book that was translated to the screen very well. I'm loving that Roger is starting to find a place for himself that FITS on the ridge. I also loved the interaction between Tom, Claire and Jamie during (and after) Tom's hand surgery, and especially that Claire went downstairs seeking her ether to help with her PTSD from the Brown attack, but was able to set it aside to care for her patient. The teasers between Malva and Ian are interesting too, but the big story for this episode was the situation with Fergus and Marsali - such great performances by Cesar Domboy and Lauren Lyle. Can't wait to watch what happens next!

Beatings, domestic duties, childbirth... How about some time travel?
R-Jahnke20 March 2022
In Echoes, Jamie chooses to get a beating ... again. Then he beats another man with a belt. In Allegiance, a man attempts to whip his adult daughter. In today's episode, he succeeds. Sigh.

It's unfortunate the writers of the books and show have so few new, interesting ideas. Not just about the floggings, but so much else. Claire and others have the ability to time travel! But instead of having new adventures, they stay at Fraser's Ridge where life is a soap opera.

I'd love to see the show diverge from the books and bring fantasy back to Outlander. For now I keep watching mainly because of what it used to be.

Awesome
yoghert_5515 September 2023
First of all I think season 6 looks really good. I think I'm watching it 4K now at least. And I don't know what it is, if they have gotten new cameras or are more experienced and creative with the cinematography, have better set designs. I mean it has always looked good, but it seems even more pleasing now.

And this episode I got such chills when Marsali told him off. I thought he would hit her, but her speech was so strong, her character is strong. Such an amazing empowering moment for her!*

Claire and Tom back and forth is also really good. It is tense. Like he is scary, but maybe he will be more kind? Less prejudiced'? Hopefully.

Liking the style of this season so far. Not too many characters to keep track of and a good backdrop with the Revolutionary War coming up soon. Fitting for all the challenges they've been through.

Warning: Spoilers
This season has not been all that exciting so far. Now they have Claire an ether addiction & I don't remember that from the books. Christie is a religious zealot & the typical abuser. I keep hoping for more, I miss how good the show used to be & I hate that new opening song.

Episode 3: Babies, children, and religion.
JillsBis20 March 2022
The episode began with a crying baby. Religious Roger rescued it and performed a baptism. I hate this new version of Roger. Until this season I liked him. But now with the preaching and all his religious talk, I can't watch him anymore.

It seemed like most of this episode was about the new baby and children. The only parts I found interesting were the couple of scenes with Ian. But he and Malva spent most of that time talking about religion, so more of the same. Then there was the obligatory flogging.

Too religious
sja-awesome18 February 2024
I definitely liked some of the life lessons playing out in this episode and Jamie displaying what a good grandpa he is. Having to watch the brutal surgery of that guy's hand was just disgusting and pointless. I also actually hate the storyline of Fergus and marsley tearing each other apart. I don't know if this happened in the books but it's really awful to watch. It also doesn't really seem like fergus's character would do what he's doing, as he was raised to understand women and to care about the more feminine things in life. It seems like he would more likely talk to her about how he was feeling and try harder to be a better husband not turn into a complete coward. His entire childhood was based on showing how he was brave and that's why he lost his hand in the first place. He protected people he cared about and would be proud of his wife for doing the same for their family. He most certainly wouldn't neglect his children! I also don't understand well why she's trying to make melva her apprentice when marsly already is! Btw don't feed grown cats milk, it's not good for them.
