MacGruber returns and I am happy to state that the humour and character have retained all of their qualities from the original 2010 film.
Will Forte and Kristen Wiig are on top form once again, and Laurence Fishburn brings a great straight role to contrast against their silliness.
There is a brilliant opening to help new views get up to speed with the character, and plenty of call backs for old fans alike.
Classic MacGruber.

Cut out some of the butt and penis jokes and the show would be much better.
Still, good to have a comedy like this on TV. Wish we could get more action parodies.

Glad to see the MacGruber lore continue in a new series. This is bound to be classic MacGruber. Good stuff. Would recommend to the whole family. Can't wait to see the lore regarding Enos Queeth be expanded upon.

I have a very high threshold for crude humor; it has to be hilarious, or it's not funny. The crude parts just are not that funny, and there aren't nearly enough clean-ish jokes to carry the show. I gave it two stars because I did laugh out loud at Vicki St. Elmo's lounge performance, at least at the beginning of it.
At the end of the show I thought: "Was it really that bad? Surely they have to do an better job in Episode #2?" only to find out that you need to subscribe to Peacock's premium service to watch any more episodes. So I thankfully did not waste any more time trying to find out.

I actually really like Will Forte as a person and admire Kristen Wiig's quirky personality, but the level of humour here is mediocre at best. Not only are there too many embarrassing butt jokes, but we unnecessarily get to see MacGruber's actual butt as well. The dialogues are far from witty or relatable, the writing must have been done by 12-year old boys. This 'revival' would have been mildly funny in the 80's, but sadly it's poor entertainment value is disqualifying itself from the genre of comedy. I won't waste anymore time on watching further episodes, humour has evolved and needs to look different now, sorry Will!
