Most of this episode was OK. The things Eleanor Roosevelt went through must have been quite demeaning. Her affair with that reporter and fessing up to Franklin was harsh. We also got a taste of the power of J. Edgar Hoover whom many felt was the most powerful man in America. The Fords continue to be the best story as Betty Embraces the ERA. The Obamas are really presented as bland and Michelle comes off as a tyrant. It makes it seem as though she doesn't understand the realities of campaigning at all. The portrayal of Barack is really weak.

Episode 6 "Shout Out" from season one of "Showtime's" anthology "The First Lady" is another strong showcase episode of three strong fine first ladies who fought for change and new rights during their generation respective era. Eleanor however having fun with her female reporter is put under investigation by the "F. B. I." and her love affair is revealed to Franklin. Now Betty Ford is still seen as a hero as she fights more for women's rights by trying to pass the "ERA" rights bill which has many in the party upset with her. Fast forward to 2012 and Michelle has put her husband's reelection campaign in doubt when she fights for the equal marriage equality protection as this will hurt Obama in many states. Still these strong will powered ladies take bold chances and get things done. Overall another good episode that speaks volumes in a blunt brash way.
