A Estrela de Gaspar (Caspar's Star) is an animation short for kids, with elements of the fantastic and some contextualization regarding Portuguese traditional culture and current social landscape. In the Portuguese almost population deserted countryside, where the Spain's border is nearer than the sea, a small and solitary kid, in the Christmas Eve, must perform a dangerous task to restore the normality of the Season, broken by the Evil Witch. As a prize, he'll receive from "Litle Jesus"(traditional Portuguese equivalent to Santa Claus...) the gift of a little sister. The Witch is alert, but likewise are the forest animals that come to give help and get themselves revenged... The drawings are cute and occasionally very beautiful.
