Eidos Montreal has said that the Guardians of the Galaxy video game will have no DLC. This was confirmed by executive narrative director, Mary DeMarle, in a pre-launch interview with Stevivor. She said in June 2021 that there will be no downloadable content because Eidos Montreal want players to have the complete game from day one. She specifically mentioned costumes and abilities with an emphasis on no microtransactions.
In Nikki's hideout room during Chapter 7 there is a rug on the floor in the same pattern as the carpet in the Overlook in the movie The Shining.
At one point near the end of the game, Rocket says "I hate water, and I hate being wet, and I hate not getting paid!". This may be a reference to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) when Willie Scott says "I hate water, and I hate being wet, and I hate YOU!"
Near the end of the game, Peter Quill says "No mountain too high, no valley too low!". This is similar to the lyrics in the song "Ain't no Mountain High Enough", a song that was used in the MCU's Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)
Just like the marvel's avengers game, this guardians of the galaxy game is not related to the mcu or the comics
