- Victor: [having accidentally received Echo's imprint, speaking to a guy in a club] "As help me God, I laugh when I think, how piteously a-nyght I made them swynke." You know what that means? I have no idea, but it's wicked filthy. How about buying a girl a drink before you swynke?
- Paul Ballard: [Given a choice between escorting a doll with an air-headed personality or interrogating a serial killer] Serial killer. Thank God!
- Boyd Langton: [Told the mind of an escaped doll with a serial killer's personality is to be erased by remote control] Then what? Leave him out on the street? Completely wiped?
- Topher Brink: He'll be an empty-headed robot wandering around Hollywood. He'll be fine.
- Paul Ballard: [Echo's just finished taking a shower] Would you like um -a towel?
- Echo: Yes. Thank you. I'm wet.
- [Puts on the towel. Starts to walk past Ballard]
- Echo: Good day.
- Paul Ballard: A treatement. Would you like a treatment?
- Echo: Yes. Please. I enjoy my treatments. Shall I dress?
- Paul Ballard: Yes. Dress would be good.
- Topher Brink: I have to finish mapping his neural landscape. But if I can figure a way to sneak up behind his reticular activating system. Give it a goose. That might do it. Could also give him a man reaction.
- Adelle DeWitt: I choose not to hear that.
- Bradley Karrens: Heh. What you know about is only what the family hasn't been able to scrub. There have been other... indescretions. Women. Survivors, I should call them. And when you have a survivor you have a person that might be persuaded monetarily or other means, to stay quiet. But when all you have are bodies...
- Adelle DeWitt: I see.
- Boyd Langton: Turns out we have a sudden need for an FBI profiler. I suggested you.
- Paul Ballard: For what?
- Boyd Langton: To interrogate a possible serial killer.
- Paul Ballard: Serial killer?... Thank God!
- Paul Ballard: And I'm not a cop.
- Victor: What do mean? Who are you then? What is this place?
- Paul Ballard: This is the place you're not in. And I'm the guy you're not talking to. And these
- [Put pictures in front of Victor]
- Paul Ballard: *These* are the women you're going to tell me how to find.
- Adelle DeWitt: Lovely. So you're saying that we've imprinted an active as a serial killer and blindly let him loose upon the streets.
- Topher Brink: I wasn't saying that.
- Boyd Langton: What are you trying?
- Topher Brink: Uh... A remote wipe.
- Boyd Langton: Why?
- Topher Brink: Oh well, ha, Victor's loose, doesn't have GPS, and apparently he's a serial killer.
- Boyd Langton: Ah.
- Echo: What is it, Thursday? Tell me I didn't miss Gossen's lecture. He's hard enough to understand even when you're there.
- Ivy: You're fine. Paul here, is going to see to it that you get there on time.
- Echo: Oh, thanks, Paul. I'm Kiki.
- Paul Ballard: Kiki.
- Ivy: First, Paul is going to take you on a little spree.
- Echo: Shopping or killing?
- Echo: [placing paper marked 'F' on his desk] Professor, this can't be right.
- Professor Gossen: Miss Turner?
- Echo: Kiki. Okay, so I probably never should have taken this course to begin with, but I figured it was Mid-Evil Lit, not Advanced Evil. How hard could it be? So I skipped Intro to Evil, or whatever, but how is it that I get an 'F' when this guy that we're reading, Chauncey, can't even spell?
- Professor Gossen: It's Chaucer. It's Middle English.
- Echo: Like hobbits or something?
- Professor Gossen: As I said, my office is open if you'd care to discuss it.
- Echo: I'd care to discuss it. I'm like the scarlett lady with an 'F' on her chest.
- Professor Gossen: 'A'.
- Echo: If only.
- [last lines]
- Echo: I think he dreams.
- Paul Ballard: Not anymore.
- Echo: [Paul leaves, Echo approaces Karrens, who dies a few seconds later]
- Echo: Goodness gracious.
- Victor: Dr. Saunders? Where is Dr. Saunders please?
- Boyd Langton: She's not here Victor.
- Victor: [points to room where Karren is comatose] There is a man, he's not his best. Dr. Saunders can help him.
- Adelle DeWitt: Thank you Victor, we'll help him,
- Paul Ballard: Now, Terry. I gotta ask, and I think you know I gotta ask. Have you been practicing dentistry on large cats?
- [pause]
- Paul Ballard: Leopards, pumas? I'm askin because I'm wondering why you have traces of a vetrinary grade paralytic in your system.
