Girlfriends - get a script please!
Volume 4 is certainly one of the worst episodes of this late, great series from Girlfriends Films, done in by lack of a screenplay. It's also one of the shortest releases of its type from them, clocking in at under 2 hours.
Cardinal sin is complete lack of movement for the duration, as if Deauxma's fabulous vintage car was out of commission. She arrives at night (can't even see the vehicle) at a house to visit old (but young actress) pal Lonestar Angel and their boring conversation betrays the fact that the actresses will all be winging it.
The four sex scenes are arbitrary, staged as filler, with some of the lamest dialog set-ups this side of a gonzo video. Angel announces she's going to work as a ranch hand at the Double D Ranch (!) for Miss Lynn, so suddenly Porsche Lynn shows up to arrange to pick her up later, and it turns out, natch, that Lynn and Doo-May are old acquaintances (in the Bette Davis/Miriam Hopkins sense).
Awkwardly and unconvincingly, Ms. D invites Porsche in, though it's Angel's house, and then the two old ladies send a bewildered Lonestar off to see some random movie for the evening while they catch up on old times. The kid leaves, and the ensuing conversation is so pitiful that guest star Porsche seems embarrassed throughout. Though she clearly holds a grudge against Deauxma, the latter too easily seduces PL and they hump in tedious fashion. Boring!
When Angel gets home she's angry, miffed for example that Ms. D changed the fresh sheets, hint hint nudge nudge. Another visitor suddenly pops up and it's cute Heather Silk, an excellent young actress who doesn't even get a screen credit (though her name is listed on the Scene by Scene menu slide of the DVD).
Heather complains about her scatterbrained pal Elexis, a very loose attempt to try and knit the unrelated vignettes of the video together. Deauxma whips out some specialty dice to play a sex game similar to "Truth or Dare" where the dice indicate what players have to do to each other: coming up for example "Lick Ass" or "Pinch Nipples". After a few tosses she tires of this pastime and suggest some strap-on dildo action, repairing to the bedroom where fully clothed Ms. D plays a sort of mentor in a threesome of Heather humping Angel effectively.
Aforementioned Elexis (Monroe) pops up in bed cooing to Annabelle Lee, latter playing hard to get (or just bored with it all). Of course she easily seduces her and their mechanically performed tribbing session ends with a sudden fade-out, not permitted to go to its natural conclusion even though "naturalism" is what Girlfriends Films has promised to its fans. And time is not of the essence, since these Sapphic vignettes can add up to 3 hours or more (for 3 or for of them on a DVD) so editing this scene is unjustified.
Finale has a very angry Lonestar storming in on a solo Elexis and berating her for some nonsense like making fun of her cowboy hat. She threatens rough sex, but the duo hump in merely mechanical fashion though Elexis claims to have many orgasms. Adds up to a pointless, worthless video.
